Just wanted to get some opinions from the folks here.
Any of you who got real lean and as a result lost strength on some of your barbell lifts. How long did it take to regain that strength?
I'm quite lean atm. Probably somewhere around 12% bf at 168 ish punds.
I've lost about 10-15 pounds on my bench and 20 pounds on my squat from when I was 185 pounds. I'm pretty happy with the way I look but I got a vacation in September and just for funsies I want to see how shredded I can get but I'm afraid it will take pretty long to regain lost strength.
I'm also afraid I'm going to gain substantial fat from drinking and over eating everyday for a week. Anyway. What do you all think about the strength regaining?

Man I lost so much strength on my weight loss journey from numerous mistakes and I can tell you I don’t think I’ve ever gained strength at the pace I am now ever. Even when I first started lifting. So there is something to “muscle memory”.
Of course I probably know 3000% of what I knew a year ago so that plays a part.

Caloric surplus and maybe 2 months of hard work. Since you are still in shape and lifting. If you had a longer layoff then longer time to reclaim strength
