I'm following a 12-week BodyBuilding.com routine (Steve Cook's Big Man on Campus) as well as eating around 3,200 calories a day and doing all the right things protein and supplement-wise.
I'm 23 pretty lean and about 153 pounds. I'm getting to the gym around 6 am but want to add a second training after work.
Although working out twice a day can bring injury.I feel pretty good about it since I stretch and am pretty active. I've also read that working out twice a day can accelerate muscle growth.
Question is, what would the best type of workout be in the afternoon? HIIT/cardio? What would you recommend as the second workout of the day? In the morning it is intense strength training.
Thank you!

23 and 2 a day's needs more than 3200 calories. I would drink 3200 calories in beer and eat 5 times a day at that age. If you want to maximize muscle, don't drink that much beer and up your calories to gain 3 pounds a month
