I've developed tendonitis in my left elbow. it hurts! I got some prescribed cream from my doc, I've been eating Ibuprofen and I've even using a strap on that hard to minimize how hard it ha to grip for deadlifts, rows, etc. But it just won't seem to get any better. I've taken a week off a couple of times. I've avoided any exercises that require me to grip with that hand, but I'm still getting nowhere fast.Does anyone have any suggestions, aside form just not lifting for a prolonged period of time. I can't do that.

A lot of experts on the web say that anti inflammatories slow the tendon healing process.
Have you tried forearm, bicep and tricep streches?
How long have you had this tendonitis?
The video posted above is refering to voodoo flossing, personally for my medial epicondilitis i found it to have no effect.

Talk to a doctor or better, a PT with sports background if you can. Most likely, they will recommend you stop using the arm or exercises that are causing the inflammation until healed fully - possibly an extended period of time. There might also be some rehab exercises that will get you back in action quicker - just depends. That may not be what you want to hear, but that injury type tends to just get progressively worse if not addressed. Get well.

Have had the same issue over the last two years. Both elbows, and wrists. None at the same time. Requires complete rest, then physical therapy. Those goofy bands surprisingly work well. Suggest for the wrist you wear a full splint brace. Fact of life I'm afraid. Sucks to get old sometimes.

I currently have it, but not resting. You have to start rehabbing it immediately. The best thing I found is to take a light weight dumbbell and do wrist curls, high reps, say 3 x 15. Personally I use a 20 or 25lb weight. The blood flow is hard to get in that area and it needs blood to heal.
Check this video out, best one I found about rehabbing.

I'm sorry OP, I've had it in both elbows. It sucks and usually takes a couple of months. One thing to do is STRETCH your wrist. If it's tennis elbow, hold your arm out straight and flex down take your right hand and pull your left hand fingers. You should feel a stretch in your forearm. Hold for 30 seconds. Also knead your forearm and hold like an Indians sunburn without the friction.
Lay off the Ibuprofen, bad for the kidneys. If worst comes to worst, get a cortisone shot and take a month off. Squats instead. No one ever got small squatting
