    Christians Do go to heaven:
Mr 16:19 ¶ So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
2Co 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
    (KJV)
Php 1:21 ¶ For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.
23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:
24 Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.
    People in heaven:
Re 19:1 ¶ And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
    (KJV)
Jesus Christ is going to rule and reign on the earth.  The believers will be with Him on the earth at that time.  Right now believer's go to heaven to be with the Lord Jesus Christ because that is where He is.

I personally don't believe that babies go to hell. I believe that there is an age of accountability. It's not about OUR righteousness, it's about Christ's and His sacrifice. We couldn't be good enough to go to heaven so He died for us. He will save you if you will place your faith and trust in Him, believing in your heart that He died n rose again, shedding His blood as a sacrifice for your sins.

    Makes absolutely zero sense:

    - Know everything and be all powerful

    - Create heaven and hell

    - Create human beings knowing they will fail to live up to your rules

    - Off to the eternal torture chamber for my pets!

    - Wait for millions of humans to be stuck getting tortured forever

    - Create a pretend human who is also my son, send him down to Earth to get nailed to a tree

    - He suffered enough and from now on I will only eternally torture some humans!

    - Such a cool guy and not at all an all-powerful cosmic sadist who has committed more evil acts than any serial killer

You have to be capable of some pretty warped thinking to just swallow this kind of fairy tale.

Not a fairy tale. God didn't create man to go to hell, man when man goes there it's because he chooses to. God made a way out for every man.

No, God gave us free will to choose to love Him or rebel against Him. The evil one is the one who rejects his creator. It's not a fairy tale.

That's merely making excuses for this fictional monster - if you create people knowing that some of them will 'fail' your test meaning they get tortured forever, a hideous crime that you can stop at any moment, then you are 100% responsible for the situation occurring.

God is not a monster, nor is He fictional. You will stand before Him one day I warn you and He keeps perfect records. God created us perfect didn't want us to fail, but He also wanted us to have free will. It's not His fault if man chose to fail, it's man's fault. Stop blaming God. That is a product of the fall, to be at enmity with God. When you give your life to Christ in faith, believing that He died and rose again, shedding His blood for your sins, He changes your view to see things for the way that they really are. You no longer will look at Him as your enemy because He isn't. He wants to make you royalty and rule over all creation with Him in heaven. He just wants you to choose Him, but you don't have to. People don't go to hell because they fail and sin, they go to hell because they reject Christ as Lord and Savior. They reject God and His offer of salvation. You can't blame Him.

Because many people do. With that said, by not choosing Christ, you are in fact, choosing hell. You have a way out through Jesus Christ.

Seeing as I don’t believe there is god I can neither trust it or call it a liar. Your logic is flawed.

When we die our consciousness will disappear and there will be no reckoning. There will be no judgement. And you will not know that there has been no judgement.

No rational justification for that belief either, of course.

    See above.
False. There is no rational reason for denying that He rose from the dead. Show me some writings from Christ's day that refute the resurrection. Had He not risen from the dead, He would have been exposed as a fraud. The ascension into heaven was seen by hundreds of eyewitnesses, so there is rational reason to believe it.

This post is ridiculous on so many levels (hint: nothing you are saying here makes any sense, and is not evidence), but let's entertain this logic for a second.

Claim: In 1860, some guy named Bob in Kansas traveled to Jupiter and back in a spaceship he built for himself.

Your rational for this claim: Because we dont have works written around the year 1860 that refute this particular claim, we must accept the claim.

what in the world are you even trying to say here? It's almost as if, in the scenario that the gospels were merely constructed as stories towards the end of the 1st century AD, that there wouldnt be contemporary texts written around the time of Jesus exposing it as a fraud, whatever that would mean anyway.

Merely saying "the ascension into heaven was seen by hundreds of eyewitnesses" (by whom, exactly? Are there hundreds of surving documents written by these hundreds of people we have today? Or are you just literally saying this because it says so in the Bible*).....has no value as evidence. If it was written in a story that hundreds of people saw X happening, this is not good evidence that either 1) hundreds of people claimed they saw X , much less 2) X happened. If you really want to consider the "evidence" for any of the events associated with the gospels such as Jesus walking on water, or rising from the dead, the evidence you have is really a story written down in a document (the gospels themselves). But stories are not evidence just as much as the Star Wars novel by George Lucas is not evidence of the events of Star Wars actually happening.

*: I also question where it even says in the Bible that there were hundreds of witnesses to the ascension. Perhaps you are confusing this with what the Bible says about the number of people observing Jesus post-resurrection. The author of Luke-Acts only talks only about Jesus leading disciples and then ascending (oddly, the same author of Luke-Acts can't seem to get his timeline straight, since at the end of Luke this happens on the day of resurrection, while at the beginning of Acts, it's 40 days after....or was there >1 ascension?). It does not talk about hundreds of people observing the ascension in particular. The ascension itself, btw, is a rather curious happening in view of modern heliocentrism and a round earth. Why exactly is Jesus "going up"? To where? There really is no "up" and "heaven above" considering earth's place in the universe. The explanation here of course is that the writers of the Bible, oblivious to modern science, thought the universe was oriented in a primitive 3-tiered system: an underworld, the stationary flat earth, and heavens above.

False. That's not what I am doing at all. I never said that Christianity is true ONLY because there are no writings from Christ's day to refute it. You didn't read the other stuff I wrote and only focused on that one thing. Yes the fact that there are no writings from Christ's day refuting the claims of the Bible and otherwise IS strong evidence that it really happened BECAUSE it was being proclaimed all over the world at that time. If it hadn't happened, don't you think that someone would have spoken up? Especially His enemies who didn't want it to be true?

Also I said that the eyewitness writings from His day, the Secular, Historical writings as well support it being true. You must have overlooked that. Also, the fulfilled prophecies by Him that were hundreds of years old. The miracles, the dead and resurrection. The Church writings also support it.

The eyewitnesses to the events record that there was hundreds of people who witnessed His ascention. I wasn't aware that every one of those witnesses had to write a book for them to have seen it.

    1Co 15:1 ¶ Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
    2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. {keep...: or, hold fast} {what: Gr. by what speech}
    3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

The Bible is the MOST reliable source. It was written by the actual eyewitnesses to the events. These people who you are quoting, if they don't believe the Biblical, eyewitness, God inspired account, just who are they relying on to get their info?

    LOL

There are no writings from Christ's day concerning Christ period, he wasn't mentioned until like 50 years after he died. But yeah his death, which wasn't written of at the time, was being proclaimed 'all over the world'.

Something that no-one was talking about wasn't refuted in writing, therefore God is real, ha ha ha, you can't make this stuff up!

But we have a right to remember how barbarically they behaved when they were strong and were making an offer that people could not refuse.”

False. It's like you didn't even read my post at all, and just continue to spout your nonsense.

Besides any of that. Words written down in a text are not evidence in themselves.. As predicted, your "evidence" for hundreds of people seeing Jesus after the supposed resurrection is simply that: words written down in the Bible.

But if you actually read that Corinthians passage, which of course is not evidence, you will note it does not refer specially to hundreds of people seeing Jesus ascend, just people who apparently saw him post resurrection. The passages in the Bible that actually talk about the ascension in Luke and Acts just say he was with the disciples.

The scripture at Psalms 82:6 is not referring to humans. That verse of scripture is with reference to the angels in heaven, based upon the context within which it is used. Notice the context at Psalms 82:1:

"God takes his place in the divine assembly; In the middle of the gods he judges:" (Psalms 82:1 -- New World Translation)

The word "divine," when used in scripture--particularly in this verse--is with reference to heavenly things.
