Only really fat dudes or jacked dudes with a thick barrel chest or big ass arms are doing this for reps. I doubt the average man could even pick up 85 lb dumbells off the ground more than several inches srs

Of course the average man couldn't press 85 lbs. The average man can't bench a plate or do a single pull up.

Again, go to a better gym, at least 3-4 people besides myself mess with them regularly at mine and that is just in the afternoon when I go. 150s are considerably rarer, only seen two other dudes use them at all. If you really want to feel weak go to a legit hardcore gym.

I like benching dumbbells because it doesn’t hurt my shoulders. Most guys in my gym are benching 60-80, 80-120 you don’t see many guys doing. I never understood doing a dumbbell exercise for a one rep max. Dumbbell sets should only be done with a 5 rep minimum.

Lmao. OP cant even be dedicated to lifting and yet hes spouting this bullchit.
OP go lift and stop being a little whiny bich about how no one talks to you and how much your life sucks and yet you dont do anything to improve yourself and the life that you've been given by being born into this world.

Sorry if unrelated but general bench question. My chest is way stronger than my triceps. The obvious solution would be to do triceps assistance but the problem is when I do that, my triceps get sore which takes recovery time which means waiting longer before the next bench session which makes me wonder if there's really a benefit.
Also, is there even any point in worrying about assistance right now? I'm only at 250x5. I've been too worried about getting fat. Should I wait until I've done a get fat and strong phase before worrying about assistance?

I dreamer bulked in 2016 and hit the 140s for two reps without a spot or help up. I lost 40lbs since then. But i can still rep the 100s on an incline and probably more on flat. The most ive ever seen was this dude hit the 145s for like 5 reps.
Chalk and forearm training are really helpful for dumbbell pressesLast edited by xpin2winx; 06-22-2019 at 01:11 PM.
