Starting to get serious about lifting

I got into lifting late in life, but want to get the most out of it while staying healthy.

I’m 35, and started lifting seriously 6 months ago. Been working on my diet, and tried a few different workout plans, but I feel like I’m not getting my full potential.

Where can I find a good workout plan and diet if I want to increase overall mass safely and efficiently? I see all kinds of plans out there, 5x5, HIIT 100s, or the latest blog post someone swears can pack on 30 lbs of muscle in a year, but can never be sure what to trust.

Where do you start when you want to get bigger, but not injure yourself?

    Thanks!

German volume training... it's intense but its low weight so you shouldn't hurt yourself and it will give you gains!

Thanks for the tip =) I'm finishing a 5x5 workout plan next week, but I'll give the German volume training a try afterwards. I think I'm reaching a plateau, so should be good to mix things up.
