Hi guys, I've been overweight for a while now and have just been eating and training sh*tily, but have lost a little weight in the past few months, about 25 pounds(I lost it by just not eating much, pretty sure i slowed my metabolism down, didnt pay attention to macros) I was 265 but now I'm 240 on the dot. My lifts are 275 on bench, 380 squat, 465 deadlift not sure on military press but I'm currently doing 145x3x5 for working sets.
Just wondering what bodyfat % you think I'm sitting at rn. I'm trying to reach 10%, just like everybody. I know some of you may say I should recomp, but I'm not just doing this for aesthetics purposes, I've got to get down to a reasonable weight class for mma/combat sports. I want to do this as quickly as possible without f*cking up my test levels, losing muscle and plummeting my metabolism further. Any advice on how to best approach this would be appreciated.

A 1000 kcal deficit is likely the fastest "safe" way for you to lose weight without compromising too much lean body mass at the moment (you seem to have some)... since you are at a high BF%, you should have good fat oxidation capability aswell.
As for 10%BF... when is your competition (hope not too soon)?

why such a negative attitude man?, why would you assume I think I have low bodyfat? and no I'm not talking about lyle mcdonald rapid fat loss fast, i'm just wondering what deficit you think I should shoot for. I realize it's gonna take like a year or more. BTW if your implying I dont have what it takes to do "extreme dieting" i lost 55 pounds and went from around this bodyfat to like fifteen in two and a half months before. It just ****ed up my metabolism majorly and gave me stretch marks and I lost the little strength I had. jeez
