probably looks at who is being replied to not necessarily who is posting. quality is subjective so quality probably = quantity for the purposes of what he's doing. higher average characters per quote = higher score for quality. maybe higher average characters in the response helps too. i bet that gets you 90% of the way there. could be endlessly complex if the guy is bored enough. or there is no algorithm, it's all made up and we're idiots lul

I think it's simpler than that. I think he is taking the most viewed threads in the last 7 days and assigning views to each poster based on the number of times they posted in that thread, to give a crude "star power", for who has generated the most views.

So if somebody posts a lot in highly viewed threads, they place high on the list.

There is probably weighting in there for percentage of characters, as well as percentage of posts, as Ari only writes short posts (variations of reeeeeeeeeeee).

He doesn't actually comprise a high percentage of the posts in the big threads either.

That last list was heavily influenced by the debates thread.
