Well..if you are not trolling C2's are made in the USA.
Ski ergs are a very niche market item.
If one wanted to buy knockoffs look at xebex.
FWIW the knockoffs cost enough that the loss that that you would take selling the copy VS the resale value of the C2's if you decide that they are not for you makes the Chinese version a poor buying choice.

I think only the frame on the C2 is US made. All the components are from Asia.

The D, E, Dynamic and Skierg are all assembled, tested and packaged in Morrisville, Vermont. Most of the metal components such as the frame, flywheel, axles, etc are sourced in Vermont. Electronics come from Asia. Some of the injection molded parts such as the handle, footplates, caster feet, seat and others are produced in China or Taiwan, while other larger moldings such as the fan and flywheel covers are produced domestically.
Concept2 is a global company, with roughly half of the oars and ergs we produce being sold outside of North America. Purchasing components and services from outside North America where price and quality are competitive simply makes good sense. C2JonW

I have a Model D and it is a fantastic machine, super smooth. The plastic parts are inexpensive to replace and it seems reasonably durable. I have used the older B and C machines and they are less smooth, however they are also older and have many more KM and total usage hours.
