Mahomes is just stat padding late in the game with the win already locked up and putting me into a deeper and deeper hole, fuk.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

I'm really concerned about Ben. He's going for an MRI today. I wouldn't be surprised if the outcome is Tommy John surgery, which would absolutely wreck the Steelers season. I said the two keys to the Steelers this year were keeping Ben healthy and the defense, specifically Devin Bush taking over the Ryan Shazier role. I like Bush, and he has a ton of talent and has been making plays (e.g. the fumble recovery that got them back in the game in the 4th quarter yesterday), but he's also been making some rookie mistakes (e.g. getting burned on both Dissly TDs). It's going to be a process to mature into the pro game for him, and the D will probably be inconsistent this year, especially early in the season until he reduces the rookie mistakes. If they have to play with Rudolph-led offense (and an OC who is basically just "Ben's guy" and not a real OC) for any extended period of time early in the season (or all year) while Bush and the defense are still a work in progress as well, it's not likely to end well at all. The only good news is that their schedule is manageable for a while with games against the Bengals, Dolphins, and Colts, along with a bye, in the next 7 weeks.
As for Mason Rudolph, he looked decent enough for a guy jumping into his first regular season action with no first team practice time. He wasn't the problem yesterday, but he's not going to be the answer either, at least not for this year. All of Pitt's offensive players are going to take a hit with him playing, but as long as he plays like he did yesterday, they aren't going to totally fall off the map, either. Moncrief is absolutely awful. He was finally benched for good yesterday when Rudolph's first pass in the game went right through his hands for an INT (that was 0% Rudolph's fault). He should be inactive or just cut going forward, and if you have him, drop him ASAP. Washington should play an expanded role if Rudolph is under center, and it looks like he likes throwing to McDonald as well. I wouldn't run out to pick either of them up, but Washington could at least emerge as a bye week replacement and McDonald will continue to be a lower tier starter at TE. Juju and Connor will be more like WR2 and RB2 type players, but they will still be startable.
Ugh. I guess it's time to tank for Tua ... seriously, though, no one is going to compete with the Dolphins for #1 overall, but the Steelers could be in position to draft Herbert or someone else really good to replace Ben going forward. That's how they got Ben in the first place. They were in the playoffs in 2001 and 2002 under Touchdown Tommy Maddox, but had an injury filled down year in 2003 and wound up with a top 10 pick with a much better roster (outside QB) than a bottom 10 team. If I has to watch this season swirl down the toilet, hopefully at least history repeats itself.

Just a brutal blow for guys who have JuJu/Conner stock. Agreed on the WR2/RB2 status.
I had the 9th-12th pick in almost all my drafts and considered that pairing to start. Conner never made it to me, but I got JuJu on a few squads.
Brees' injury is another big blow, mainly to Kamara owners and MT owners to a lesser extent.

Bridgewater isn't the typical noodle arm game manager or raw rookie that most teams have as a backup. He has been a successful starter and the strength of his game is accuracy on intermediate throws, which is exactly where MT excels as well as a WR. That, plus the fact that MT has the best catch pct in the league makes me think they will run their offense through him. Who knows, though? Kamara is also an elite talent, so he's not going to fall out of the gameplan, either.

OK fellas - following up on my QB issue. Like some others, I'm done with Cam, he looks horrible. With Brees and Ben getting hurt, I'm sure some QBs will be leaving the waivers. I have to claim someone this week.
BPA:
Allen
Carr (lol)
Jimmy G
Dalton (garbage time points?)
Stafford
Mariota
Winston
I am feeling Jimmy G possibly, hoping that week 1 was not the norm for him. He looks solid Week 2 against a D that held Wilson in check mostly.6'1 - 240lbs
