Lmao the "one-game" argument again. I bring up the Jaguars example because they held Barkley in check the entire game until he broke a massive run for a TD. Barkley had 18 attempts for 106 yards, 68 yards came on the TD run. The Jags did a great job containing him, until they didn't.

I guess I value DJ more than you do. I think he's one of the most talented backs in the league. Barkley is probably the most gifted physically, but doesn't means he's more talented than everyone else.
No one, NO ONE, would have thought DJ was going to have troubles after his 2k season, but he did. The sample size is too small for Barkley and the Giants offense will look different this season which is why people have their reservations with him this year.New England Patriot

Now you're being obtuse. I gave an example of one game to demonstrate a specific point that I had referenced earlier and to offer a counter-point to your suggestion that he only did well because the Jags couldn't plan for him because it was week 1.
12/16 games he had more than 20 points. 14/16 games he had more than 15 points. 15/16 games more than 10 points.
1 game below 10 points.
It's funny, I never see you talk about any other game than the Titans game. Which just so happens to the one game Barkley scored below 10 points.
One game argument, that's all you have.

Apples and oranges imo. The huge issue with DJ last year was that he wasn’t used nearly as much in the passing game. He caught almost half of the passes as Barkley. You give him just a portion of those back, with the associated YPC and just 1 single TD...and he’s right behind Zeke as the RB6
He’s didn’t become a fundamentally different player. They simply stopped using him in situations where he greatly excels. That decision cost a bunch of people their jobs.MFC

Let's not go down the road of #1 OA being a dart-throw about trying to pick the player who will finish #1 in fantasy. The goal should be to draft the player with the highest % chance of finishing top 5. Barkley has the highest chance because he is the best player in the NFL.

I’m fairly convinced that Gordon sits out the absolute maximum amount of time while allowing his contract to vest. I haven’t followed this closely enough to say if that’s 6 games or 10....but his support and comments re the Bell situation last year are awfully telling.
And I don’t think you can rule out the possibility that if he sits out 10 games...that the team simply doesn’t activate him for the remainder of the season.
But I’m guessing this situation is going to mirror Bell’s more closely than we think right now if they can’t work out a contract soonMFC

I did a ten man mock today from the first spot and here is how it turned out:
1. Saquon Barkley (NYG - RB)
2. Todd Gurley II (LAR - RB)
3. Mike Evans (TB - WR)
4. Robert Woods (LAR - WR)
5. Chris Carson (Sea - RB)
6. D.J. Moore (Car - WR)
7. Phillip Lindsay (Den - RB)
8. James White (NE - RB)
9. A.J. Green (Cin - WR)
10. Dede Westbrook (Jax - WR)
11. Jared Goff (LAR - QB)
12. John Brown (Buf - WR)
13. Dallas (Dal - DEF)
14. Jimmy Graham (GB - TE)
15. Jason Myers (Sea - K)
I'm pretty sure you take someone other than Barkley at number 1 and this team is still crazy stacked. I really like being able to take an elite RB at 1 and then doubling up on best available the next time you pick. If Gurley wouldn't have made it to my second pick I'd have probably gone WR, WR there and then RB, RB at the 4, 5 turn. I basically just went best WR/RB available each time and filled in everything else later. I've got one 10 man league that hasn't drafted yet and if my team is even close to something like this I would be very pleased.Height = 6'3"
Weight = 215
Max
Bench = 335
Squat = 365
Dead = 425

The only thing that I would say to counter this argument is that it clearly cost Bell. It cost him $14m from last year's tag contract and it cost him $20m less in his contract than the Steelers offered (although I think guaranteed money was similar, that's only the floor/insurance not the contract value unless you are planning to suck and get cut at the first possible moment).

What are people's thoughts on LeSean McCoy this season? Pretty bad season last year. They brought in Frank Gore and their rookie Singletary is getting a little attention as being someone who could potentially take over for McCoy. I've even seen some people speculate that they could trade McCoy midseason if Singletary is doing well.
I still think McCoy has enough left in the tank to have a productive season, but he's falling in draft boards and no one is really expecting much from him who is #1 on their depth chart.
inb4 he's on the wrong side of 30 argument.New England Patriot

I like Samuel as a sleeper if he falls far enough for that reason - he's being drafted later. They are both low floor since Cam has never really sustained one startable WR much less two. There has been some hype around both, so if I were going to take a chance on one, it would be the one drafted later because I think it's unlikely that both become reliable starters but I don't think there is much greater probability for one to hit over the other either.

Looking for some feedback here. Top players in the re-draft...OBJ, Mike Evans and JuJu. So obviously hoping that someone goes crazy and takes a leap on a young RB. But in the event they go 1-2-3....I’m looking at the players below with the first pick (PPR League)
Who are you taking?
K Allen. (Is he true WR1? Seems a big step below the other three. Injuries?)
Kittle. (Can he repeat? And worth spending early pick on TE?)
D Freeman. (Ol reliable. No Coleman. Will be untradeable in our Keeper format)
J Jacobs. (Love his talent. Hate the Raiders)
A Jones. (Gonna get the workload? Or RBBC in GB?)
M Gordon. (Only if he signs in next 3 days)MFC
