First of all, you are an experienced fantasy player - I don't think you can be "taken advantage of" and I wasn't attempting to. It's weak because a) this thread has people in the league who have a vested interest in the outcome of any trades, and b) we were in the process of negotiating a trade and this derails that process by inviting outside opinions who are looking at the trade in a vacuum and not taking roster construction into consideration.
As I said to you in the PM on sleeper, I'm not going to bargain against myself. I sent an offer to get the ball rolling, I'm not obligated to send my best offer. That being said, I don't think the value is that far off. It depends upon what hopes you have for your team this year. DJ could very well outscore Hopkins this season (and vice versa) he is a top 5 RB by draft position and will be an RB1 barring injury. It's a decision that you need to make for your own fantasy team, just as I was doing for mine.*Strong Everything 2018 Champion*

Man I remember when I brought this exact point up in regards to not helping you when you asked for trade advice and you got shook about it.
With that said tho, Fiz-iks does have a point about roster construction and team structure. Here is what I think (bear in mind I am not an expert, and I have only been playing dynasty for 2 years)
@tyler2106 Hopkins is the consensus 1.01 in dynasty start ups. Do with that info what you will.
Seeing as how the league is a dynasty tho you need to look at whether or not you have a chance to win this year (or in the next year or two) or not. if the rest of your team is strong and you think you can pull it off, then sure hang on to him. If the rest of the team is has-been's, or up and comers, then you may look at building for the future and turning Hopkins into some high future draft capital.
regardless of whether you want to keep Hopkins or not, DJ for Hopkins is not a trade I personally would entertain, as I dont see DJ helping much more than Hopkins will now, or at all in the future seeing as how DJ is 28, and RB cliff is typically at 30yo, plus hes on a bad team and has handled ALOT of work.
fwiw playing in a league with you two ever again, no thanks. You take this way too serious.

Brah, that was a completely different situation. I was asking if it made sense for me to propose a trade for a specific player based on team needs and it was being used by myself as a negotiating tactic. You then accused me of collusion, which it definitely wasn't, which is the part that I took an issue with. Of course, you'll understand that accusing someone of collusion is a serious allegation to make in fantasy leagues (especially online leagues like the misc). I didn't accuse Tyler of collusion and I don't think he is colluding by posting the trade proposal in here. It's not a big deal to me that he did post the proposal, but my main point still stands that I'm not going keep sending offers to him and then have them posted on the misc for everyone to evaluate (aka bargaining against myself).

I don't think there's anything wrong with Tyler asking for trade advice in a fantasy football discussion thread
not everyone ITT is in your league (Jay who responded probably? isn't) and it's nice to have an outsiders perspective or someone in a different dynasty league that's run on longer - since I believe your dynasty is only in its second season
DJ for DHop is a pretty even trade in redrafts but yeah in a dynasty league Hopkins is going to outlast DJ by a good amount of years over the course of the dynasty
not a completely unfair baseline though, unlike some trades Tyler will send

It seems like the hype is building as people get back into drafting. I don't think auction values are very consistent from draft to draft, but in snake drafts his adp has risen from 7.06 to 6.09 over the last month. If you look back towards the end of June his adp was in the 8th round.

Ya'll are haters.
Fiziks, sorry if it bothered you I posted in here. I was joking about the trade rape comment. I wanted to get some outsider advice on this trade. I won't pretend to know everything, especially about Dynasty stuff, which is why I wanted to ask others. I'm still open to the trade, we just have to get a little more creative with the offer.
And for those concerned about posting questions here with other people in the league, I understand they are and take their advice with a grain of salt.

Here's a pretty thorough analysis of the Zeke/Gordon potential holdouts.
