What are Jacobs owners doing? I hope they just rule him out so I can calmly start Washington.

    Trying to get Washington, haha.

I have Hyde or Scarbrough I could play at 1 instead.

Also have Murray Monday night, Snell Sunday night (this is what I had to do last week, yuck).

. Idk if I would feel confident starting Jacobs even if he’s active/starting. And if he is then can’t trust Washington either.

My other options at RB2 are Mack on mnf and drake at 4pm.

Conner is supposed to play this weekend, so Snell should not be a backup plan unless something changes.

.5 PPR need 1 RB and 1 Flex

    Lev Bell tonight @ Ravens
    Marlon Mack Monday @ Saints
    Patrick Laird @ Giants
    James White @ Bengals
    Allen Robinson @ Packers
    Terry McLaurin vs. Eagles
    A.J. Brown vs. Hou

I might be crazy but I'm leaning Laird and White based on matchups.

I'd stay away from Laird. The Dolphins are worse than the Giants and Laird himself stinks. White is probably the best play at RB. For WR, I'd choose between Brown (for ceiling) and A-Rob (for floor).

So no worries not playing Bell tonight? Crazy to think that my top 2 RB's post draft (Bell and DJ) are not injured and not start-able

I'm forced by default to start Bell..... not excited about it though. He's sucked all year, and now he's playing one of the best defenses in the NFL. With your choices I would considering it maybe when considering work load.

Just as a volume-based start, Bell isn't a terrible flex play, but playing for a bad team in December in a Thurs road game against a great team looking to clinch their division, I'm severely tempering his expectations. This is a game where the whole Jets team could easily be overwhelmed from the start. IMO, your other options are pretty good (which is kind of why your team is still playing in week 15...), and I like them better than Bell.

Not saying to start Bell, but Mostert and Singletary ran all over Ravens defense last two weeks. Jets won't be able to throw at all, so Bell should get some run. Having said that, sounds like neither side are happy with the other so will Bell even give max effort?

Led my big money league in scoring all season, and scored the 2nd most points last week only to be eliminated by a guy who had to start 3 players he picked up Saturday, all of them went off for career bests and he also got a season best day out of Mixon.

Sometimes the FF gods just want to take you out lol.

Good luck to everyone starting Bell, its a risky play between the Jets still being trash, his coach never wanting him on the team, the overblown bowling thing. He could have some extra motivation though, if he can go off against the Ravens, it'll immensely help him getting off that dumpster fire of an Org.

Not really sure what to do with him, Gase just doesn't seem to know how to use him at all. My only other realistic option is Adrian Peterson, who should get a lot of volume. But it makes me sad to start AP over Bell in the 2nd week of the playoffs lol.

I mean preseason this is a reasonable looking lineup, but you were able to form this team because aside from Kittle and Zeke none of these guys are having good seasons

I went 9-4 this regular season, and it's crazy how lopsided most of my games were, in my losses I lost by an average 39.28 points, with the smallest lose being by 14.02 points, (if you take away this one outlier the average would balloon up to 47.7) in my 9 wins I won by an average of 39.89 points, the smallest win margin was 6.78, and my largest win was by 120.96. 3 of my 4 losses were above the average losing margin, and 5 of my 9 wins were below that average win margin, but 7 of my 9 wins, and 10 of my 13 total games were decided by 25+ points.

Off to a great starter in week 2 of the playoffs. Bell with a measly 9.3pts, which wasn't even his fault. He ran well but they fukin hate him in the Redzone and Darnold never throws to him...... also Crowder going off sitting on my bench..... wouldn't have predicted that.

I'm in the championship in my neighborhood league (they do week 13-15 for the playoffs, no idea why...). Off to a roaring start. I was originally projected to win by about 15. Lamar outperformed his projected number for me and Bell fell short of his for my opponent. Now projected to win 152-119. Championship, here I come.

My money league team, which is the one I care about more, was like that. Every random thing that could have gone wrong, did. It just happens that way in this game sometimes.

The Cards GM hinted that they may release David Johnson.

    https://www.azcardinals.com/news/ste...eing-evaluated

They can't be that stupid, right? No one who's made it to GM in the NFL can be, right? He has a $10m guaranteed contract for next year. With prorated bonuses, releasing him would be a $16m dead money cap hit, which is pretty huge for a non-QB. I don't see any way that it makes sense to do that. He's still the best back on the team if he can stay healthy somehow. If they give him one more year, then cut him, his 2021 salary is not guaranteed and the dead money for pro-rated bonus is only $3m. That seems to me like a much smarter thing to do, but what do I know, I guess?

I really don't follow the guaranteed money and cap hit stuff enough to fully understand it, but with how much the Cardinals seem to not care for DJ, how much Arians always loved him, and the mess at RB in Tampa Bay I just assumed that Johnson would somehow end up on the Bucs next year.

The contracts have a signing bonus then annual salaries for however long the contract is for, which can be either guaranteed or non-guaranteed (guaranteed meaning the guy is paid even if he is cut). For the cap, the signing bonus is pro-rated across the nominal length of the contract (both guaranteed and non-guaranteed years), so if a player signs a 4-year contract with a $20m signing bonus, the cap hit for the bonus money is $5m per year in each of the 4 years. If the annual salary is $5m, then the player gets $20m right away in bonus money and $5m each season in salary as long as it is either guaranteed or he's on the roster, but the cap hit is a level $10m per season ($5m in prorated bonus plus $5m in salary).

If a player is cut (unless he's designated as a "post-June 1" cut, which is an unnecessary complication for right now), then all of the remaining guaranteed money plus the rest of the prorated bonus cap money goes toward the next cap year. So if the player above has only two guaranteed years and is cut after those two years, he ends up getting the $20m bonus plus $10m in salary for the first two years and loses the $10m for the last two years. In cap terms, the first two years are counted at the original $10m per year, but the $10m in remaining bonus money is all moved up the the third season instead of counting $5m in the 3rd and $5m in the 4th.

In Johnson's case, he has two years left - a guaranteed $10m in 2020 and a non-guaranteed $8m in 2021 - and his prorated bonus money is $3m per year towards the cap. If they cut him after this year, they still owe him $10m in salary for next year's guarantee AND both of the $3m prorated bonus dollar years are put on next year's cap. Therefore, his cap number for next year becomes $16m instead of $13m and he's not even playing for the team. It typically doesn't make sense to take that big of a charge in dead money (i.e. money for a player not on the roster). If they keep him one more year, they pay him $10m next year and take a single $3m in prorated money, and then cut him after next year, and they don't pay the $8m non-guaranteed money in 2021 and only take a single $3m prorated bonus cap hit in dead money. It seems to make a lot more sense to just keep him around next year since you have to pay him anyway and would take a $3m cap money loss to cut him.

With that said, he would be a perfect fit for the Buccs. Maybe they will trade for him. If they trade him, the bonus money is accelerated so the Cards would take a $6m dead money hit next year for both years of the bonus money, but it would be the Buccs paying his $10m salary on their cap. A $3m or $6m dead money his somewhat palatable, a $16m hit is really harsh. The Steelers took a $26m dead money hit to trade AB this year since his contract had a lot of bonus money. That's the biggest I can recall ever seeing, but in retrospect, it was worth every penny.

You must not be aware of Steve Kiem. The only reason he even has that job is because he and the Bidwells like to drink and pop pills together. He's the human version of a sweaty english bulldog with a documented alcohol problem. We've been begging for him to get fired for 3 years now
