When will grown man strength kick in?

When will I get naturally stronger? Just tried bench for the first time and I can only do 115lbs for 3 reps and before I give. I play against older players in basketball (20-22 year olds) and I get pushed in the paint easy due to my lack of strength as well. When do you hit your strength spurt in puberty? Turned 15 very recently btw.
    Starting: 6'4 170lbs

    Current: 6'4 210lbs

    16 years old

Grown man strength doesnt apply to gym lifts. Only practical uses for grown man strength.

This. Simply getting older won't increase your lifts, unless you're younger than around 15.

Men tend to gain weight as they age, which would give a slight advantage. But this is countered by the fact that adolescents tend to be more physically active and athletic.

If what you’re asking is when your hormones will kick in and help you gain strength/mass, that kinda depends in the individual. Most guys will be fully physically matured by the time they hit their early/mid twenties with most people getting a huge spike in testosterone somewhere around ages 16-19, but there are exceptions going both ways. In my case that spike started I was around 16 or 17 and I’ve continued to see significant improvements since then. I was around your age when I started lifting and was 5 ft 10 weighing about 130 lbs, and I’m about to turn 18 and I’m now 6 ft 0 and 190 lbs, and I still have a lot more filling to to do. I figure that’ll you’ll probably see some major results in the next couple of years as long you keep lifting with decent form, so I figure you shouldn’t worry too much.
