Where do you keep your peleton bike?

Was looking for ideas and found these.

I had my carpenter build a $9,000 finished wood riser for my Peloton bike in my glass-enclosed zen garden/home gym pic.twitter.com/VJSOjctYtO

My Peloton is in the living room because it’s my favorite work of art aside from the turquoise marble peacock I keep in the fireplace. pic.twitter.com/fQyaK7PIjM

Last year we painstakingly remodeled a midcentury modern house in the hills, including furniture from the period. Then I put my Peloton bike right in the middle of the living room. pic.twitter.com/27aw5gD6ay

You might ask why the windows in front of these Pelotons are so small. Unfortunately space on the yacht is limited and the gym is near the waterline. We manage. pic.twitter.com/Hqa1kVgWDj

My husband says it’s a fire hazard to have the Peloton bike blocking the doors from the living room to the veranda. He doesn’t understand that the Peloton bike will be the first thing I save. pic.twitter.com/yltVAQsi14

I took my Peloton bike to Europe and used it on the balcony of our $2,000/night Airbnb and honestly I felt like I was flying over London, you should try it pic.twitter.com/sVjdO78MRV

When we visited my parents for Christmas I had to put my Peloton bike right in the living room, they didn’t have a home gym or a conservatory or anything ugh pic.twitter.com/iuPSriUjmO

In the mornings, after my housekeeper meticulously makes my bed, I like to ride my Peloton bike in the window of my high rise and literally look down my nose at people. pic.twitter.com/4tCrIOVVA2

Sometimes I’ll move the Peloton bike into our gallery so I can spend time with my half gay husband while he reads Architectural Digest wearing combat boots https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Dx98423VsAIgNfg.jpg:large

Probably the worst thing about putting a Peloton bike in my spotless huge kitchen is when my dumb kid interrupts the workout. Where is Consuela? She has one job! https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Dx96Ze-W0AICDIA.jpg:large

I’ve noticed Peloton has changed their ads since this twitter feed has gone viral. Recent TV spots have the bike in the laundry room and other less glamorous locations.

I've used one at the gym in my office. Anyone that pays that price for it and subscriptions after needs to contact me about some great real estate in the Everglades that I'm selling.

Side note: I recall hearing that Peloton wasn't initially selling well, the CEO decided the price point gave the impression is was lower quality so they doubled the price and sales took off.

For the price of that bike, I paid less for:

    Legend 6 post rack
Mech 6 monos, swing in safeties, landmie
Titan GHD (forgive me for going Titan)
    Rep bench with fat pad
Assorted other things (battle rope, plyo box, etc)

    - That's at full price for the above items

I bought my wife one about 18 months ago. She has done 500+ rides since then. Before that she had never done any form of exercise. It kind of like the stay at home version of the obsessive CrossFit people.

I still have a computrainer I bought 20 years ago when I was racing. Wife still uses it sometimes when preparing for tiathlons. Spending more than an hour on it kills far too many brain cells.

I keep mine in the basement, Consuela now produces 50% of our household electricity.

Could the Watt bike do for cycling, what C11 does for rowing?.

Just lol if you can't buy a bike like a normal person and ride it outdoors. Using snow/rain as an excuse is just laziness. I once rode my bike to the top of Everest and took a piss on the whole world.

For $3K you can buy a pretty nice road bike and a smart trainer to go with it. Plenty of free programs out there.

I'm a biker but I can't stand indoor training much. For whatever reason a treadmill is far less mind-numbing to me.

Well, I didn’t say it was cheap! LOL

And I think most folks on this board would agree the price of the bike is ridiculous and the classes are an expensive luxury. I don’t own one and can’t see ever buying one.

But, they are doing something right. Peloton was valued at $4B when they raised money last year, reportedly on track to hit $700M in revenue this year, and will likely be valued at $8B or more in their expected IPO this year. Maybe even more if they can take advantage of the current IPO market.

Pretty good numbers for a company that is only 7 years old and operating in a traditionally challenged market segment. Not defending the product, but I have to give them credit on the business they’ve built to date.

Ours is in the garage gym, but I wish we had some of those views. I bought it for my fiancee' when she paid off her student loan debt, and she uses it pretty much every day. I think we are in year 3, and I want to say break even was year two when I calculated it against her expensive spin classes. $39/mo. is well worth it, imo.

I thought this was Equipment Forum...

Where do I keep my Peloton?

Outside the gym, so that I have more room. The treadmill will be moving soon to a spot next to the Peloton.

    Need I remind you all...

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

I like to cycle in real life. The screen has much better pixelation. I'm all about the pixelation.
