Tensile strength looks rather low on all the bars they offer. Is 150k psi tensile that great for the average lifter?

150k is fine. I think the original Rogue bars were listed at 155k. Tensile strength is generally less important than yield strength, but I guess yield isn't as saxxy of a number for the marketing people. I think the CAP OB-86B is well under 150k tensile strength, and less for yield. I used mine for deadlifts over 500 and never bent it. I'd consider myself to be a pretty average to mediocre lifter, and if I had no other choice I think the CAP bar would be sufficient as my only bar.

Thanks for the info. I was considering pulling the trigger on one of these just so I can check out the cerakote finish and have a decent deadlift bar. I figure for $150 shipped its a great deal and if you say the tensile is ok, I feel a little bit better on trying it out.

the specs are low compared to today's bars but probably similar to something like a classic York but the price looks unbeatable for what they claim you get out of the deal.

Price seems cheap enough for someone to try but I hate when non-lifters write descriptions:

Probably hard to squat with a fractured c-spine.
