Free will is great, and completely irrelevant to my post.

College professor bought 1-way ticket to Rome before St. Patrick’s Cathedral arson attempt, police say

A part-time philosophy professor was charged with attempted arson on Thursday after he entered a historic cathedral with gasoline and lighter fluid, investigators said.

Marc Lamparello, a former director of music at a New Jersey Roman Catholic Church, was arrested at the historic St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City on Wednesday night after security stopped him with two cans of gasoline, lighter fluid and butane lighters, police said.

Sources with the New York City Police Department told ABC News that he also purchased a one-way ticket to Rome, which was scheduled to depart from Newark, New Jersey, on Thursday evening

    Sure, will watch too.

Consider how the US has only existed a small fraction of the time those other countries have existed and we are already up to #3, just jumped on the scene and started kicking ass and taking names. Back to back WW champs. With our almost constant state of war we will have top spot before you know it. The thing is that major battles don't happen much anymore. It's mostly small operations.

France has plenty to be proud of. They have had a lot of victories but many of their losses have been humiliating. I just dont' think they will ever live down when the Germans went in dry and they just bent over and took it in WWII and they have been beta ever since. Liberalism has been a cancer for the French.

From what I've seen, it looks like some of these brainwashed "assets" are going off script and getting caught before they can accomplish their missions (like that bizarre story of the school shooter girl in Colorado). You can iTs A CoNSPiRaCy or MUH ALEX JONAS all you want, but the behavior of all these attackers is extremely bizarre, but makes sense when you are open to the idea that maybe the deep state/C"I"A actually perfected (almost)grooming and implanting their own twisted missions into various people (remember the unibomber, and how the government trashed his brain with LSD, which is what made him go crazy? so this isn't all that far fetched, he was just an early patient back when they were trying to get it right.... He was part of MKUltra).... These people truly think they are doing something benign, like the guy who shot RFK thought he was at the target range, how this professor thought he was refueling his 'out of gas' vehicle... From the outside we see them doing evil things, but in their brainwashed heads, they are only doing normal things...

"Now i don't know about you but this strikes me as MUCH more than just "a crazy guy trying to imitate the Notre Dame burning." The way the police described him was also as "extremely evasive", and he seemed to believe he was just going to refuel his car. This immediately all struck me as a classic possible MKUltra-type candidate. As we all know, the most effective way of handlers molding their subjects to their will is to make them believe they are doing something else that is innocent, as most people, even subconsciously, will not just submit to doing something they view as immoral (The RFK assassin, for example, was trained to believe he was just at the range shooting at targets when he shot RFK as opposed to being told to just shoot him.) This man most likely simply believe he was just going to refuel his car, and that that is the explanation he should give police should he be stopped."

How do we know MKUltra program was ever actually stopped? (and why would they stop such an effective program that they benefit from?).

If this was a terrorist attack they most likely would have found some chatter about it before hand. Can guarantee most intelligence agencies looked into it already. Not saying it couldnt be done on purpose but as someone who actually has done a lot of big scale construction projects its really not difficult for accidents to happen and I can guarantee our safety standards are stricter than what they would be dealing with in France.

Come on man, think!

Moreover, the cathedral contained priceless works of art that they were able to extract intact after they put out the fire. Do you think that would have been the case had they just flooded the whole thing?

Also where did you pull that 52 acres figure from? Notre Dame is a cathedral nestled in the middle of a city, not a ranch. It's area is about 16,000 feet, so less than half an acre.
Water is also sorta explosive with enough heat. With that building being stone it would have been getting very hot inside. The goal of spraying the water would have been to slowly bring that heat down. If you just dumped thousands of gallons of water on it at once they would have created a massive amount of steam that would only be able to go straight up or out the windows. Not a good situation. As a side note water turning to steam expands by 1600 times.
