Hey everyone, I've been wondering just what kind of major (if any) differences there has to be when designing a workout to get toned and slender and noticeably muscular vs the kind of workout to get big and bulky?
So to give an example of what I'm looking for, if you were to look at Arnold Schwarzenegger in his prime but off season, what kind of workouts would he have been doing to maintain that kind of bulk?
And what kind of workout routine would someone need to stay toned and slender and a decent shape, maybe more like a cover model for a fitness mag who aren't bulky or Mr Universe competitors or about to enter a strong man competition?
Hope that makes sense.

While there are some differences in training for experienced lifters, for the rest of us mortals the differences is completely in the amount of body fat. Basically, build as much muscle as you can on a proven lifting program and you will look bigger and bulkier, then cut the fat back off down to 15% or less and you look lean and muscular. Start by reading the nutrition link in my signature below.
S: 375 pounds x 1 - 168-pound bodyweight 5/2019
B: 300 pounds x 1 - 177-pound bodyweight 7/2019
D: 405 pounds x 1 - 168-pound bodyweight 5/2019
OHP: 180 pounds x 1 - 168-pound bodyweight 5/2019
