The younger generation (under 25) are probably the most social generation even more than the 1960's generation. Big rise in sharing, everything from Uber to ride-sharing, living in housing where they share common areas, and yet, jam-packed with incels. I believe that it's because they have grown up with their faces glued to a screen and 95% of their interactions with others have happened over a device online. They don't know how to interact with others face to face. Also they have never been disciplined or told no and it shows when they don't get their way.

Really scared to see how bad it's going to be when the products of free range parenting come to adulthood.

About Eggman. 1/10 right there. He's not blessed with good looks to say the least, but there is a lot he could do. In that pic, he looks dumb, no personality, looks like he stinks, and if he doesn't have bad breath I'd be surprised. Borderline creepy looking. If he just shaved, took a bath, got a haircut, not take a pick 1" from the camera, try to smile a little or something to show he's alive, he could bump himself up a few points. Get a career (might already have one) lift, take better care of himself, get some personality, he could still land a decent looking chick. My point is a lot is in him. Instead of bashing him, maybe try to help people like him because maybe he just doesn't know how.

I think there are a few different things going on here.

social media has had a huge effect on promiscuity but birth control, especially the ease of getting it (and in many places it's free now) had a massive effect too.

it doesn't help that there is an obesity problem which effects both sexes, making everyone less attractive to each other so the "average" people are having less sex.

marriage makes less sense to men now that no fault divorces are more common and can ruin a man financially. add to that social media and as a man you have to be very careful.

Fun fact: The guy got a girlfriend a year back and people were saying SEE Eggman found a girl and so can you! Well it turns out the girl was using him this whole entire time. She tricked him into taking out loans in the name of college but it turns out she wasn't using it for school and was cheating on him.

Working hard in a career to attract another is a BAD plan. You work hard in a career for yourself and your future.

The reality is the guy is just butt ugly. I am not saying it isn't possible for him to find a legit, loving person who will care about him, but improving your personality and working your ass off in a career to increase your SMV is just as much as a joke as telling him to take a shower.
