I would like to eat as clean as I can while away . but still wont mind the occasional burger or pizza . also a good breakfast place . mainly places I could get a good steak , rice and potato . a place where I can get simply a grilled chicken . preferably nothing to far out from venice beach .

The Sidewalk cafe is right on the boardwalk and has a nice variety on the menu.

I went to James Beach and got the fish tacos like they did in "I Love You, Man". Would recommend that and the chocolate cake for dessert.

There's always Whole Paycheck off Lincoln near Rose (close to Gold's) if you can't find any other places

I also often bring my own food to Gold's and eat there using their microwave like all the huge builders do after a workout

Not many tables and small (like that locker room there!) but I like the whole idea of chilling there

In and Out. Venice is trash. Check out the beach and gym then leave ASAP.

3rd street Promenade has a bunch of good restaurants .. Italian , Thai , Mexican

Best pizza is Pizzeria Mozza or Lamonicas. You can Uber everywhere in LA so don't limit yourself to the Venice area, which as Rhadam mentioned "is trash".

Depends on your budget. I wouldn’t get a hotel in Venice, I’d rather stay a bit north in Santa Monica or go south to Long Beach where there’s a lot to do. I’d spend a half day in Newport for sure... great food and the scenery is beautiful. Great drive too.

Newport is definitely nicer but a bit of a drive. I have an office next to Fashion Island, everything you can think of to eat nearby. Marina del Rey is pretty nice even though its right next to Venice, but if you want close that’s probably what i would pick. If you got the cash there is a Ritz Carlton with a decent restaurant, if nt just Airbnb it and eat at Tony Ps.

If you stay in the south part of SM it would be closer to Gold's as it's in the Northern part of Venice

The Santa Monica pier for reference is about 1.5 miles from Gold's

With LA traffic, thats about 10 minutes to 2 hours. Double it if there is any rain.
