    Exclamation Insanity and lifting

I want to lose weight and also lift weights too
    I was thinking about doing insanity 3x a week and lifting(low-intermediate) 4x a week
    Ex: Monday (chest and triceps)
    Tuesday (insanity)
    Wednesday (back and biceps)
    Thursday (insanity)
    Friday (shoulders and traps)
    Saturday (insanity)
    Sunday (legs)
What do you guys think or recommend me doing??
    Thank you

you probably need a rest day or two in there, even if its an active rest day. otherwise youre going to build up a lot of stress and/or burn yourself out.

when it comes to losing weight, its not enough just to exercise, you have to make sure youre eating fewer calories than you expend in a day, so make sure youre monitoring your caloric intake as well.

    Thank you for the recommendations
Would you think I should put a pull and push work out 2x a week so it gives me 2 days to rest

I am also going to keep track of my caloric intake as well 🤙🏼

I’ve done Insanity just a few times in the past. I’d say Sunday leg day is going to be very difficult, the Insanity workout always made my legs sore. Maybe consider just a rest day on Saturday? You could also get on a proven 3 day per week total body lifting program such as Stronglifts 5x5 or Fierce 5. Then you can still do Insanity 3 days per week and have a built in rest day.

Studies have been done about concurrent training (doing both resistance training and cardio). It will burn more fat than either alone, but it won’t build as much muscle or strength as resistance training alone. Sounds like your main goal is lose fat so that should work well for you.
