Suppose that four years from now, you hit six figures

Would you look at it as validation you bring home some serious bank, or would you give barely any chits

    real talk.

I dont think Ill ever hit 6 figures at a job srs, I have the worse luck. Have a grad degree and with working 2 jobs i only make 60k at age 28

On the bright side, Im a grinder. I have 97k in a vanguard account, 15k in a goldman sachs account, 3k in wells fargo account. Own a house that I have roommates paying for and plan to get another house in the next 2 years.

Part of me feels worthless with my poverty job, but part of me feels successful. If i made 6 figures at a job Id be loaded srs. Id be curious to bump this thread and see where im at in 4 years.

Use real estate to set yourself free.

It'll be awhile before I hit six figures in my job. The validation that I'm doing something right comes from being debt free, reduced cost of living, and the accumulation of wealth. Actual income is irrelevant.

Actually I still owe 140K on my house so I'm not debt free yet but you get my point.

By the time you're at six figures, your eyes are already set on bigger goals that your $100k salary is only a small part of

I'm waiting on a class date for a job that will pay 135k+ a year after training.. I'm sure after I make that much I'd enjoy it for a couple of months or a year or something, but eventually will want to attack something else.

Pretty sure we're wired to always want more and never be satisfied

I'm making 10K a month gross, probably like 6-7K take home. This averages out to 100-120K a year.

Truthfully, there is no difference between 70K and 100K. I don't feel any better off than I did on a lower salary last year. Instead of 1K a month in disposable, surplus income, I now have 2K-3K a month in disposable surplus income. It doesn't move the needle that much in the short term. Over time, if I keep on the same course, then yeah, it'll start to add up much quicker.

The difference right now is negligible though. Haven't bought a new whip, live in the same modest condo, etc,. Just bought a 3K treadmill, Apple Watches for the GF and I, and that has really been it. I haven't had to sweat any purchases, just pay cash. But again, it's not that big of a deal. It's awesome to know I'm making 100K because I looked at it as a milestone, but it doesn't really even matter.

    Been there done that.

6 figures isn't chit, and when you see how little it impacts your life its actually kinda of depressing.

Strongest of strong lolz @ guys who attempt to bring up how much they make in conversations.... most cringe inducing thing ever. Will sometimes say I make 20K over the amount they state just to be a d*ck and take the piss out their sails lol
