**Official Cyberpunk 2077 Thread**

I did. Although in Witcher 3 I felt like the story was told in side quests with a much higher level of interaction and relationship building, or was just more interesting in general (some monster hunts were really cool).

In Cyberpunk all I'm getting out of the side quests are a waypoint, followed by a text or a phone call, blast through a small building, then that's that for 90% of them. Nothing is really making me care about them. Might be just personal preference though but yeah... I'm 25 hours in at the moment so I'll see if it picks up in quality. Enjoying the main story very much though.

Holy chit that is a major letdown. My idea was to play the game over with each path and get a fresh experience.

That was the first thing that really got me looking at this game more critically.

Origin story was about 15 minutes. All that's happened in the next 24 hours of my gameplay regarding that choice is maybe 10 dialogue options that came up utilizing Nomad.

Rip replayablity, makes basically no difference and is hardly mentioned. Lazy af and kinda p***ed me off.

Agreed, I'm still really enjoying the campaign but I'm heavily disappointed at the rest of it, the marketing seems so deceptive now. Not a bad game at all, but it's not finished. I think it needed another year. Like another posted said above, a lot of it feels rushed or cut.

OMFG ..... It finally rained!!!!! just started raining randomly in the city and holy chit ....... It was glorious, the rtx reflections and just the overall vibe of the game was absolutely insane. Gave me another next gen feel with the visuals. If you thought the game looked incredible during day/night without rain, wait till once the showers hit

Honestly, the best way to experience this game is the slowest way possible.



Take your time, walk around the city .... You legit have no idea what you're gonna find ..... I was driving around the city heading to a mission location and saw a question mark pop up on the minimap .... Decided to go explore it, and came across a super cool moment

Ended up coming up across this dead with a gun beside it and when I picked it up, the gun starts to talk to you lmao, and you get this small, but really well done sequence with dialogue between you and the gun and you get to choose whether you want the gun to become lethal or non-lethal, but the point it was such a good small and funny moment as well

then I came across another question mark

Saw a question mark near some diner, went in and decided to speak to the barkeep and the moment I spoke to him, a cutscene plays out and some thugs enter the bar trying to rob the place .... luckily I had put points into the bod skill so I was able to intimidate them and not get into a fight

These were just random moments I've had by not looking at the map to go to places and just riding along and coming to these places naturally thanks to the minimap, sure once you wanna complete everything you can probably look at the map and see these place ..... But honestly this is the first game where I never look at the map and instead just come across places/situations organically - Of course the map is a fukkin clutterfest so I'd rather not look at it .... The only thing I do is just use my journal to go do quests / gigs/ side gigs.



30 hours in and I've only JUST started to do the first couple missions of Act 2.



I honestly dont think this game will top Witcher 3 for me, but what it is right now is a damn fine game, but severely undercooked, overpromised, falsely marketed and with an entry only for those with high-endish pc's.

If you go into the game expecting a single player campaign experience in an open world, it makes sense

The crafting, skill set choices, looting, relationship building, none of it really matters to the narrative



Just pick up better guns off dead bodies and pewpew to victory

But honestly the gunplay is really fuking bad lol especially with a measly 50-60fps

I think changing your skill tree should offer a new experience though

I’m currently playing as a male with high intelligence and technical stats with the odd bit of attention given to reflexes. In most of my missions so far I tend to perform a few hacks to make life easier then use high tech guns to clear the room.

In my next play though I plan to be a woman with stealth, strength, and close combat skills to live out my ghost in the shell dreams.

I feel that I’m missing out on a lot of vertical environment in my current form.

Btw, I expect a lot of people to warm to this as time goes on. First impressions reveal its shortcomings but as you get further in the writing and characters shine brighter.

Fuk brahs. Still haven't started it yet. Bummed out to see each path only has a 15 min story lulz. Will definitely take the advice if I care for a second playthrough and do a different build. I think the ones I sunk my points into were Reflexes, Technical Ability and a point in body. Don't know what the fuk any of those really do it but I figured I'd be a badass shooter guy.

Been checking out the reddit page to see all of the bugs. Pretty bad when a WoW expansion has a better launch than you. I’m sure the game will be fine but it was never going to live up to the hype.

this kinda dev can't compete with rockstar, too much money and global talent


The good news is that cdpr are gunna rake in huge money from this game and I'd imagine their main focus for the next couple years will be cyberpunk repair/expansion.

Not gonna lie guys, this game is super disappointing for me at least. Been hyped for it for ages and yeah it's like a 6-7/10. 25 hours into it atm.

My complaints:

- AI is probably the dumbest I've ever seen, literal zombies all in sync. No reaction to anything. Try punching a civvie, they'll all just crouch in sync and run away, it's weird af.
- Traffic can't navigate a basic obstacle, cars change and spawn in when you spin the camera around in lots of areas (e.g. blue car behind me, rotate camera, now its a grey truck, etc.).
- Origin story means nothing beyond the 15 min intro and some dialogue options later.
- Zero customization beyond character creator. No hair cuts, tattoos, car customization, etc.
- Weird teleportation police you can shake off by crouching against a wall. (Kill a random dude by themselves in the middle of nowhere, police teleport in somehow instantly with no cars or anything even though no one's seen you commit a crime).
- Nothing to actually do in the city or interact with.
- Low performance considering the high end hardware people are running it on.

Many more issues but all of this has completely ruined the immersion and the point of the open world for me as it all seems broken and pointless. I'm enjoying the story and combat, and the game is pretty when you aren't noticing obvious flaws/bugs. But yeah, it's really quite empty and shallow in terms of what they marketed Night City as.

In regards to people defending this, patches can't fix all the main issues any time soon.

My opinion only though, glad some people are really enjoying it, I'm just noticing that they haven't delivered on some serious selling points. I'll still play through it but my excitement has dropped significantly.

Ones in bold can be easily fixed in with patches. Just a matter of when.


As for the rest, I dont know but I'm sure we'll end up having those things in a future patch because witcher 3 had em, and most likely none of these things made into the final release game because they were too busy trying to get this stable lol.

Lol yeah, I know .... But in GTA V which is based in California it rains and even in most open open world / rpg games they still have some form of a weather system ..... Wouldnt put it past CDPR to not have a dynamic weather system in the game due to the amount of cut content / rushed work they did to try get it out.

Can confirm, full reflex, tech, intel build. Hack everything then go in guns blazing


At 20 hours so far 4 main issues:
1) End of Prologue in a certain scene a gun glitched in the animation/cut scene and really killed the immersion
2) 1 Crash so far (although I've crashed 3 times trying to exit the game, not a big deal)
3) The city is massive but for the most part buildings are empty
4) Smart weapons are fukkin worthless

didn't go bad for me as i'm enjoying the content...actually so overwhelmed by the content...they definitely nailed that part.

but i called it lol. cause i played all their games. witcher 1 was so clunky, witcher 2 was awesome, and then witcher 3 they tried to do something different which was a horrible launch period cause of the optimization issues and bugs. i think most people didn't play the witcher 3 at launch cause the witcher 2 and 1 weren't that popular. idk anyone that played the witcher 2 before the witcher 3 was released tbh

Witcher 3 was an incredible experience on base ps4 ..... Granted I took 3-4 months finish the game, but it still ran really great, only had a few side quests bug out on me, but overall it was pretty polished and everything worked like it was supposed to. Even despite the ps4 performance, the overall storytelling/narrative/character development was far ahead of what cyberpunk is trying to achieve. It's probably far more of a complete game, in the sense while it definitely had to scale back, the effects of it was far less visible and obvious than with whatever cyberpunk is trying to do.

Bro, we cant even put it in the same sentence as RDR2. Its nowhere even in the same league as GTA, Fallout 4, or Assassins Creed Odyssey.

At this point we are trying to decide if its even worth playing or if its a chore to do so or not lol

you're comparing different genre's of games and you're surprised they aren't the same? fallout is the only game in that list that is in the same vein as cyberpunk

With all the advanced tech they have in the Cyberpunk Universe they could make it work. And besides most if not all the Open-world games are always set in America. We rarely ever see any outside of America like Europe, London, Russia...etc

Yeah over-hype can never be satisfied by the end product, we know nothing about GTA 6 but there's still tons of hype building, imagine if rockstar did this kind of 5+ year long tease campaign


I didn't pay any attention to the cyberpunk stuff until the past few months so I wasn't that hyped coming in, I'm enjoying the game overall. The AI is definitely lacking, I wonder if that's a very cost-intensive process and cdpr just didn't have the monetary clout of a Rockstar type dev to produce something good on this kind of massive open world scale.
