You're missing the point though, even on pc the game is not what they promised. It's a terrible open world without many of the features they said were in it.

I enjoy it for it is so far, but people are correct to point out the outright lies.

If this was EA nobody would be defending it like you are

it's an rpg so if u hate rpgs don't play it

like expect long dialogue scenes, line after line sort of thing. i think so far definitely more dialogue than witcher 3. witcher 3's dialogue scenes were short in comparison.

combat feels like mass effect to me which is a good thing cause i loved mass effect combat

I'm a little irritated because the game was supposed to be truly revolutionary and next gen when it came to the AI and life in night city and so on. But from what I'm hearing it's less advanced than RDR2 or Watchdogs?

Would be funny if Rockstar would out punk Cyberpunk in their next release.

pretty much. it's more like mass effect. they have a LOT of unique dialogue, that you can easily miss, but in general are just doing their own scripted thing. but the amount of unique dialogue/conversations there is is insane. it's definitely way more unique conversations than any other game i've played. i think... like the gangsters/enemies all have their own unique conversations too just in the open world.

it's essentially like the witcher 3 though. the content is in the sidequests and main story and there are a **** ton of sidequests.

taken from another thread good overview, i haven't played witcher 3 in awhile but it seems like they reskinned the skills/crafting for cyberpunk aswell. Overall just not impressed because graphics alone are not saving it for me.

I think the only time I’ve seen somebody enjoy a game so much more than the majority of people was Podunks with the original no man’s sky. Another astronomicaly over promised and under delivered failure and the dude was mod negging people for saying it wasn’t what was promised iirc lol

This game simply isn’t finished
- “each npc has their own unique ai/personality” - each npc is just a point a to b scripted walk
- “brain dancing will be a huge part of the game” - entirely cut outside of the mission using it. You still find the equipment to braindance further and it’s labeled as “misc” instead of junk
- the driving ai literally doesn’t exist
- “living breathing world and the next era of rpg’s” lol

Seems like the game is a shell of what they hoped to deliver but it’s hard for me to believe that they’l iterate upon the cut content and release a 2.0 version ala no man’s sky. I will be pretty impressed if we get actual content updates and not just bug/graphical fixes


These links define the ai pretty straightforwardly. It doesn’t matter how “fun” the game is to somebody. Great. Cope. You didn’t get what you were promised and youre finding a way to still enjoy the game you clearly weren’t expecting. The game released was NOT the game promised. This is no man’s sky yet again with a prettier package

The traffic AI and "city aliveness factor" is comically bad.

The scenario where you leave your car in the road compared to what happens in a basic modern game like watchdogs legion:

The combat is fun af as the levels are increasing here IMO. Just got my first Smart weapon going, there's a crapton of loot with significant upgrade/mod options. Melee is a good time, I'll often start out with a gun and then switch to a blade at some point through the firefight. Satisfying af to rush enemies and start hacking away at them, and it's effective. Frame rate drops are my only issue, again another performance thing

Haven't even gotten into the more intense body mods at all and have like 20 vehicle purchase quests waiting

Bro, we cant even put it in the same sentence as RDR2. Its nowhere even in the same league as GTA, Fallout 4, or Assassins Creed Odyssey.

At this point we are trying to decide if its even worth playing or if its a chore to do so or not lol

i'm glad i didn't read any of that bull**** before playing lol. for me it's an rpg, and an rpg is what they delivered. the only aspect of the game AI that bothers me is the police crap. but other than that i could not give 2 ****s about ai lol

ai is overrated for any game that is an rpg imo, there's only so many ways to advance AI in our time, like u want them to script an entirely different story for every single random NPC civilian. the game that did "realism" right is face of mankind. where there are no ai but everyone is a player playing a role. u would see two dudes who are police officers just patrolling lol and these are real people

Thinking about just buying a gaming laptop and outputting it to my TV. Even if you are playing it on Next gen consoles you're still getting the watered down version imo.

I had a lot of HLA flashbacks playing this. Especially while looting and thinking about how the feel of looting matters so much

I mean its just so outdated, all of it, the format, the gameplay. Its just yet another pancake adventure game with looting and good graphics.

When you do something like that in VR and have to go back to this, and on top of it being a clunky janky mess....

Its just so many things working against it right down to the very platform.

Maybe if this game came out 10 years ago it would make more sense. But its just too little to late.

Id MUCH rather be doing this stuff in a immersive setup like in HL Alyx.

It is possible to actually use it on the VR headset with Vorpx Im about to try it one of these days to test it.

I talked to him and he was depressed, etc. Left for a few hours and by the time I went back to check on him a second time, he apparently offed himself since there's blood all over the outside of his apartment and the 2 officers are talking like he killed himself. Got damn man...that escalated quickly...
