I'd like to take a moment to give praise to all of the people on this forum who can enjoy the game and yet still admit it's numerous faults, you're intelligent, well adapted human beings who understand that things aren't perfect.

To the handful that actually play this game, what builds did you go with?

I really haven’t spec’d hard into one particular tree. More like jack of all trades, king of none. Hope it doesn’t screw me at some point but I like all the different play styles too much to choose just one way.

One other thought I had in comparison to GTA; but not the AI or technical achievement of the city dynamics..

..rather the writing and the concepts of the humor and satire --especially in respect to the difference in tone between the British making fun of American culture, and Euro****s (EU types and Polish people are all similar in Eurocuckery) making fun of it.

Theres a huge difference in tone and "enjoyability" or "likability" or "fun" of the two types of satire. When the Brits are doing it, theres something cheeky about it and comes off as wry wit that is likable in the classic Rockstar sense. They really knew how to make some clever points and subtle jabs/truthisms in a way that even if we were getting made fun of, we were laughing along at the mockery of our stereotypes. Some of them were so on point in SA/4/5 too lol.

Its kind of like the debates we have on here on the misc with Brits and we attack their Tea drinking and losing the revolution and they attack our dumbness or health care or whatever other tropes we have, but its all kind of in good fun and good nature (we are essentially connected in that mutual respect way)

Not so much with Eurocucks and that whole lot. Those guys are just aspies with ignorant hate.

Like if you went on a Discord with a bunch of random Europeans/globalist cucks who didn't grow up here and got in a debate with them on their turf about what is wrong with America, their diatribes and platitudes would be tantamount to what is also presented in Cyberpunk 2077.

Since they are retarded and clueless in that respect, the points of political contention and the quality of the satire is nowhere near the level of depth of writing and biting wit of Rockstar.

In CP2077 they kinda don't even veil it as humor, it almost feels like just a flat out attack and bullying that's not fun nor likable, rather has the bitterness of an ugly political discussion where they are just unloading on you and its not funny. Its like... uh... you forgot the "entertainment" part of the writing.

Like we get it, theres guns, fat people, police brutality, but... where's the joke? It just comes across as trite and bad writing and a political dump of criticisms lacking any humor or cleverness compared to Rockstars refined British wit.

That's ray tracing boyo, the shadows are next level.


I've got my pistol pretty jacked up, the increased damage at a distance is a key perk, along with pumping up the critical hit chances as much as you can. It's super nice to have a powerful pistol. With a suppressor giving that 2.0x or more damage multiplier you can go full skyrim stealth archer with headshots.

Dabbled in rifle a bit but my handguns were always so good I didn't bother except to use the ammo. Just picked up the M-179E Achilles epic, "tech precision rifle" and it's fukking nuts, like a blend between sniper rifle and assault. Will be using that a lot now, tech weapons are fun af.

Got a katana too, I was running shotguns for awhile but with a little attention/leveling the katana does basically the same thing in close quarters and it doesn't have to reload

GTA V was incredible considering the stuff that were doing on old ass PS3/360 cpu's and gpus. Remember this was a ps3/360 gen game .... before only just being remastered for ps4/xbone



You could follow NPC's around and if you were Franklin, they'd call the cops on you.

If you tried to jack a car, they'd sometimes come out and fight you or chase you or call the cops, a mixture of all 3 states or it was random.

Cops would chase you properly

Ambulances, cops, fire trucks, depending on the situation would all come in or either of them

They'd comment on what you were wearing or what you were driving

npc's would get into fights with each other, with the cops or with whoever if they pissed each other off.








Yes, RDR 2 took it even furthe, but the point is, Rockstar have been the masters of creating AI systems within an open world that's both reactive to you and towards each other.

You got me. It's been years since I touched GTA 5. I agree, that's the start when the AI really got good. Red Dead Redemption 2 pushed in to another level. The Devs at CDPR need to look at GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 to learn how to make proper AI. AI and make it break an open world game


Speaking of which, I've actually been thinking of going backt o GTA 5's story, kinda excited we'll be getting an updated version on PS5. Might even pop Red Dead in again too

Can't believe it took me this long to realize it, but I'm convinced now. PC truly is the way. Sony will never develop something like an $800 console, gamers are VERY cheap. It'd be nice if Sony cake out with an $800 console for the men and a $400 console for the plebs, but I can't see it ever happening. Definitely looking to build a powerful PC in the next few years

Have you seen what the actual PS5 version will look like? You are comparing up to date PCs to PS4’s and Xb1’s.

$800 is still extremely cheap in comparison to a gaming PC. a top tier gaming PC is like twice that.

i spent like $1500 on my build two years ago? and it's not considered a high-end GPU anymore I think. I got a vega 64.

ps4 is only like $400? worth of hardware. but it's complete. I think for me this is the end of PC gaming, and i'll switch to ps5 when it's affordable just cause PC gaming is expensive to keep up with. like there's the GPU, then u gotta get the CPU, and the RAM to go with it.

Dragon age Origins had a far better origins stories for their characters,you actually spent time in your origin story, got to know them, the world and characters you met in your origin story came back.... Cyberpunk Origin stories were completely meaningless, add nothing to the story and its obvious there was a ton of cut content.


There are some story beats in there thats supposed to be impactful but none of them are earned in any way because the game rushes everything .... The moment to moment main narrative is really really good so far, but everything feels really rushed and disjointed if that makes sense, like there should have been more threads.


I thought a short campaign would have been decent, but actually feels more like they rushed it/cut stuff.

bioware were the masters of this before they were bought out by EA and most of the core people left the company, even though mass effect is my favorite gaming franchise of all time, origins was probably their best game

i finished cyberpunk a few hours ago and the ending and the last few main missions were very disappointing, to the point where the game for me went from a 8.0-8.5/10 to 6.5-7/10 at best,

at the ending credits the fan service made zero sense for me, in fact there was a story continuity error, i don't want to spoil - which made me wonder why i bothered with side missions at all


i also regret playing as a corpo, thought it would give me the best dialogues but it was really pointless should've gone nomad, which is clearly the best back story

boss fights were trash too especially the last one

all the romance option for my male v where garbage too, so much so that i didn't romance anybody but that japanese hooker, dakota seemed like a milf but when i visited her nothxjeff
