I'd love to see it this year, but I am guessing Q4 2020 is what they will say their projection is. Maybe early 2020 but I think they will want to have a good amount of space just in case.

I don't think they would be giving an estimated release date that will be ~18 months away. But maybe I'm wrong. If anything, I could see a PS4 release, then remaster for PS5.
At this point I literally have no idea wtf they could even still be working on. Seems pretty apparent the game has been done or at least 90% done for a long time now.

Polish and debugging would be my guess, optimization is likely a bitch too on this. I'd rather wait until they are 100% happy with it rather than see a glitchy release.
Still waiting for the announcement though before pulling the trigger on that new laptop; I want to have whatever the fck the best is when it drops. So far I knocked out 11 overtimes in 8 weeks; 20 will completely cover the one I want (20 OTs is $7k).
Going balls deep for this game.Last edited by gbullock32; 05-23-2019 at 07:48 PM.

Supposedly they will have a playable demo at E3. I really think we may get a release date of late this year. I think they're just finishing up the last bits and polishing things up like you said.
At this point I think people are going to fall off the hype wagon if they keep dragging the release on much more.

If they release any later than Q1 2020 they're fuking stupid. The hype surrounding the release will be gone if they keep dragging the **** out much longer. Or at least give us some kind of god damn reason as to why it's taking so long. Is the game not nearly as complete as everyone thinks it is? Are there issues? What the fuk is taking 9 god damn years?

I wasn't...until they said we were getting a "target release" date at E3. I didn't think after the game being in the making for 9 god damn years that they would give a release still 6+ months out, but I guess I was wrong. How much cot damn longer can I continue to be hyped about this game after they keep dragging this **** out?! lol
They're getting into a territory where they're dragging it out so much, they're going to have to deliver **** we've never seen/experienced before (In every single way. Graphically, game play, etc.) or it's going to feel like a flop with how long they're dragging it on. You can't hype a game for 9 years and deliver anything less than 100% perfection without people being unhappy with it.

They literally said the game is nowhere near complete last e3.
They literally said they are hesitant to release any footage because the game is in very early stages for their development process. Sure it "looks' complete, but that doesn't mean it is.
The game is going to sell like hotcakes even if it releases in 2023.
You're going to buy the game and love it regardless of whether it comes out this year or 2023.MS, Computer Science

I will buy the game regardless of when it comes out. Love it? That remains to be seen. The longer it takes to come out my expectations are getting higher and higher - as are everyone else's I see across other forums and social media groups.
...when you release a 45 minute game play trailer of a game that looks as polished as it did, I have a hard time believing it was that far off from completion. And that was approaching a year ago now.

I think it will have a release date of November 2019. Srs. A release of late 2020 is way to late, like someone said 18 months time is too long and too early. Early 2020 at most. Summer 2020 is pushing it.
Makes no sense to wait for PS5. PS5 will be backwards compatible for 1. For 2, They released Witcher 3 on PS4 then upgraded it on PS4 Pro.
