Team Kaged Muscle Kasein review (chocolate shake)

First shout out to Infraren and the rest of the Kaged Muscle team for tub of their Kaged Muscle Kasein. So what is Kasein? It is Kaged Muscle version of Micellar Casein with each scoop including 25g of protein, 7g of carbs, and 2.5g of fat. Let's take a look at the label:

Micellar casein being the first ingredient so we know its slow digesting, but most importantly, NO SPIKING!

Mixibility:
When I first tried out the powder, I used 8 oz of milk and was quickly reminded the differences between regular protein and micellar protein. It didn't mix to well. I then added 6 more oz rounding it up to 14oz so it mixed better. I then tried it again in 12 oz of milk and it mixed pretty well:



But I also tried it out in other ways as well:

½ cup of cottage cheese with a ¼ of a scoop



14oz of water with 1 scoop

Mixibility was about as typical for Micellar protein, gonna take some extra shaking in order to get everything mixed in which certainly isn't a bad thing. 8/10

Taste:
As noted above, I tried it out in milk, water, and cottage cheese. It tasted like chocolate milk. The flavored shined best in milk for me to where you get the intended flavor. In water the flavor was ok but I usually don't use just water unless I'm deep in a cut. In cottage cheese, which I utilize caseins the most for my bed time meal, it is a tasty bedtime meal. My son enjoyed it as well with cottage cheese because he runs over and takes some bites each time I eat my bedtime meal.

I used Kasein as my bed time meal whether it was with milk, water, or cottage cheese. Typically this is the last meal I have until postworkout after my morning lifts. Even though I've been off work, I've still been getting in some early morning sessions as well. Kasein is awesome as a bedtime meal to utilize when your a long time in between meals. No waking up hungry in the middle of the night or stomach growling in between sets. Kasein intent is to hold you over long periods without food and it does it's job VERY effectively. 10/10 on effectiveness

Overall:
Kaged Muscle Kasein nailed it in regards to an effective Micellar casein. The chocolate milk taste is very good (especially in milk) and it effectively helps hold you over between long periods between meals. No worrying about getting hungry in the middle of night after utilizing the Kasein. The price is $54 for 50 scoops which comes to about $1.20 per scoop. That's about average for a Micellar casein but definitely worth the investment for this one. My only gripe is that there isn't more flavors other than vanilla. Other than that, Kaged Muscle has a more than satisfied consumer with Kasein, I would highly recommend and definitely use again.

Makes for a nice bed time meal. I usually add some peanut butter as well to add some healthy fats
