big three are unnecessary unless you are a powerlifter (db press, hack squat, weighted hypers, glute ham raises are safer and better unless you are a powerlifter or are a really serious lifter)
sprinting is more important and immediately useful for overall fitness and survival than any other exercise
If you did no other exercise, but row on the ergometer, you would still be fit af, and if you had to choose a second best exercise, swimming would be it
abs are useless to train (aside from aesthetic purposes), and you will develop the core strength as needed in other exercises
you don't have to train everyday
just my opinion and personal experience

Squat and deadlift are overrated. Bench too tbh.
You can easily replace any of them with variationsSniff hard as fuk when guys pass by to smell their balls crew
Don't know how to hold arms when walking crew
Has to use a soundboard to order pizza crew
Order pizza and lower money from second floor in bucket crew
Bodybuilders against lifting crew

- More work doesn't automatically mean better results. Quality > Quantity
- Dumbbell lifts, bodyweight lifts with weight added via chain belt, and a few other specific lifts like T-bar rowing are superior to barbell lifting whenever possible. Basically, I still love and appreciate a BB lifting work, but I use it to compliment the rest rather than the other way around like most people do. Obviously, things like squats require a BB, especially to do them heavy.
- Trap bar deadlifting is infinitely superior to barbell deadlifting except for the very specific case of training for deadlifting comps, where standard straight barbells are obviously the standard. I see no other reason to do straight bar deadlifting (much less with straps/mixed grip to take grip strength building out of the equation) on a regular basis unless a trap bar is unavailable.
- There are a ton of ridiculously underrated lifts that very few people ever even think of trying to do. Examples - floor presses, farmer walks of various types, clean and pressing for reps on the presses part, etc.
- Meal timing is extremely overrated and mostly bro science gimmicks pushed by the sales side of the fitness/health industry
- 95%+ of all health/bodybuilding supplements are complete bs scams, or at least immensely exagerrated.Last edited by northernlights7; 03-02-2019 at 03:17 PM.

-Abs are not made only in the kitchen. I cringe whenever I hear that shyt. Yes, you need a clean diet or relatively low bf% for them to appear, BUT for most people you need to train them directly. Should be treated just like any other muscle.
-Quarter squats are not useless. People like to talk shyt about lifters who do quarter reps, but it actually helps your vertical since it mirrors an actual jump more than a parallel or ATG squat. Whether quarter squatters are intentionally training like that or just have limiting ROM because the weight is too heavy, idk. But it's not a waste.

Muscle endurance > how much you can lift
That said, crossfit probably shouldn't be so easily dismissed.
Bodybuilding for the sake of aesthetics is a pathetic and shallow endeavour if you lack strength to back it up, will easily dismiss anyone like this
I LOL at people who buy a ton of supplements, glutamine, BCAA, creatine, beta alanine, etc. and carry it in their gym bag, just LOL, wasteful spending.
Cardio > ALL lifting, in general, but obviously do both - your heart is more important though long term
P90X was a good program
Neck is by FAR the most underrated and neglected area of development and it's hard to unsee how many people lack a decent neck after being 'woke'
Being jacked is no excuse to act like a tough guy, stay humble, check your ego, because the bigger they are, the harder they fall
