    Week 1, Friday March 1st - 165.8
    Week 2, Friday March 8th - 165.6 (-0.2 Lbs)
    Week 3, Friday March 15th - 164 (-1.6 Lbs)
    Week 4, Friday March 22nd - 162.7 (-1.3 Lbs)

Still going in the right direction. I've been dieting for almost 8 months now and it's starting to grate on me mentally only eating 1700 calories for so long. 45 Lbs down altogether for me now but my god I can't wait until I start my first bulking phase and can eat 2500+ calories every day. Not so I can stuff my face with junk food as **** dirty bulking but just so I'm not always feeling slightly hungry.

Down about 3 lbs since I started. I was a bit late in the game. Hopefully by the end of April I can get to 200. It would be a great feeling to finally break free of the 220s. I feel so fat/chubby being at this weight.

I managed to turn things around after the tough start. Felt good towards the end of this week and I had the lowest number I have seen on the scale in years 3 different times this week. Hoping to break through that this coming week! I have been out of the gym for a week due to busy schedule so if I can get back in there and eat the same things are looking better.

Very pleased with my progress. Just have to stay consistent. The only thing that even remotely discourages me when dieting is how long it takes for my body to shed belly fat. I know this is a very common complaint/trait among men but it's absolutely where I keep most of my fat. Very strange too because I actually have a small waist once I'm down to around 13% bf. Hard to say what weight I'll be at my goal of 10% bf. I'm thinking around 165 or so. Unless these next 10 pounds reveal a more drastic body composition change than I expected... Will have to go by pictures here soon.

Edit: Was just curious to see what a BF calc would say. https://www.calculator.net/body-fat-...=92&x=83&y=17#

What a joke, there is no way in hell I'm 11.6% BF. Need to buy some calipers, they are at least in the ballpark of bf%.

Let’s just say I revamped my diet cutting more while maintaining min macros and I have cut back on the bulking. It was counterproductive lifting heavy weights Because I would budge with my weight so I have to ethier cut or bulk. Everyone’s advise was true I can’t do both I tried. It’s not physically possible my body wouldn’t respond however with more food cut and more resistance training I saw drastic results. Plus I have a high body fat percentage it’s literally falling off but trust me the hard part was getting used to eating less food. Now I schedule my meals and pre days in advance no cheat days and my wife supports me with my diet also so really it’s all thanks to her.

    Regards,

    starting-2/22: 226 *** goal is 201-196

    week 1-3/1: 221
    week 2-3/8: 216
    week 3-3/15: 214
    week 4-3/22: 212

still going down - actually fully expected to weigh today and find that i was plus a lb or two. pleased that i did not gain - but i spent most of the week with the scale acting a fool - so not sure whats up. i think i can still reach my goal window. i am vain - and i already ordered the next size down clothes - so i better be meeting my goals.

looks like most everyone dropped this week - looks like everyone is doing what it takes to stay in it. good job!

    pistols - that is NUTS

photoglady - i frickin hate that for you. thats actually how my week was - and i even took in more sodium and cals yesterday and late - but the scale moved....usually i am like you though - decent week and then strange retention the night before weigh in - i honestly used to think i was mentally willing it (subconsciously - did NOT want it).

peace ya'll and stay the course - almost halfway.

Seems like my body is slowly moving things around.

207.5 this week, so another 1.5 pounds down. I'm trying to figure out my actual TDEE, so I've been messing around with my calories a little.

Last week I averaged 1,688/day, and lost 2.3 pounds. This week I averaged 1,934 and lost 1.5 pounds.

There were only a couple things that I ate, that I didn't (personally) weigh out, so the calories aren't off by much.

I'm going by weekly calories, because I get migraines and have stomach issues. Certain days, I might only eat 500 calories, other days might be 3000+. I average everything out at the end of the week.

Slowly switching from 3L/day of Diet Dr. Pepper (yes I said 3 liters) back to water and Green Tea.

Over the next few weeks, I'm going to be working on my macros.

Now, let me clarify something, I'm an extremely rational and skeptical person ( just for the sake reinforcing this point to bring me to what's helped me, I'll let it be known I'm atheist and pretty much do not believe in anything supernatural) but the thing that (over time) has made the difference in my habits is meditation. Particularly vipassana mediation and with some other support from Stoicism philosophy. It's simply the practice of being aware of the thoughts and sensations that come into consciousness. Once you've learned to be more aware of what you're becoming aware of in each moment, there is an opportunity to recognize the ability to separate the feelings in itself and your reluctance to identify with them.

This, and as I've said before, getting older I'm starting to realize the time can fly by and to go 6 months in a caloric deficit is such a short time compared to the bigger picture.

Also bro those classes are a useful tool! I even would do them when I was powerlifting for the fun of it and to help my skwaat and dead lift game out. A lot of people don't realize this but you need some endurance to do some intense skwat and deadlifts sessions.
Thanks man!! I've been really trying to pay attention to my thoughts and not get "attached" to the unwanted ones but simply be a watcher of them. It's kind of the same thing. One time a shrink told me to do that as well haha. About those classes, I can see how useful they are as well as not even fitness related. You get to meet people you wouldn't otherwise meet. I really need to look to get a good group of friends in my area. its tough as #&@$. Glad your making some fitness progress as well. I hear you on the belly fat being the last to go. I can pretty much say where fat is gonna come off at around what weight and be off +- 5 lbs. LOL. The changes happen in the face and the back which gets massive change. I suffer with having love handles till around 180. Although vascularity in the arms is somewhat starting to come through a bit in the inner forearm.
