My stats and photos are on my profile, but I’m about 5 ft 10 weighing 142 pounds at age 19. I feel extremely skinny compared to an average person and summer is approaching. I don’t feel confident in t shirts and sometimes even wear a sweatshirt under hoodies to appear bigger. Am I as skinny as I think?

You are fine bro, you could lose a pound of fat and gain a pound of muscle each month. IF you stop this skinny mindset, if you bulk you'll gain more unnecessary fat and if you cut you'll lose too much muscle, so do a maintenance don't dip on the scale and work on losing an inch or so on the waist.
Also start wearing tank tops in the gym your frustrations will lead you to want more gains. Other than that don't obsess about it so much.
Your ability to enjoy life should NOT be predicated on muscle, at any given time. Enjoy the hobby and think of it like growing a plant. Maybe grow some hot peppers or whatever you enjoy and learn to be more patient. Ideally, you just be just as happy&confident being 170 shredded as being handicapped, unconditional happiness is always something to strive for. Just looked at your pictures. So you are lean, but you aren't skinny fat. You have a little muscle with hardly any body fat so you're not scrawny, you can't see your bones.
THAT IS A GREAT PLACE TO BE AT 19
You arent over weight, you can eat what you want, lift and bulk up. Or do absolutely nothing and look fine too. You are a clean canvas. You're great how you are, you're tall which is another asset. You could build muscle super easily too if you wanted to.
