Looking to get my girlfriend a meal prep bag. Wondering which is best.

I am not sure if this would go under the nutrition section or here but I am looking to get my girlfriend a meal prep bag like the 6 pack one but I'm just not sure if thats the best one out there. What do you guys think? Are there better options that I am missing?

Right now I'm thinking the six pack expedition 500.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I got ol' Nellie a nice canvas feedbag. I'm sure she was grateful.
I'm out, standing in my field.

    64 and still a newbie.

It kinda depends on how she wants it to look and capacity.

I personally have the 3-meal iso-bag from Isolator Fitness: https://isolatorfitness.com/products...nt=38108438026
Been using it for years and it's in great shape.

There's also a meal prep bag that looks like a purse: https://www.sixpackbags.com/victoria-elite-tote

That six pack expedition looks huge. Co-workers make fun of my bag all the time due to its size...can't imagine what they'd say if I brought a 5-meal expedition backpack full of food.

How many meals does she need to carry around with her? those 6 meal carriers make sense for me, because i have 3 ****ing kids now...when they're older and all eating solid food and we're going on a picnic, then maybe those would be okay.

grab a sandwich in a zipper bag, grab a meal box, throw it in a plastic bag or maybe a duffel and go.

I don’t know how much your girlfriend weighs, but I weigh 230+. I use the large reusable shopping bags for 13+ hour shifts and manage to stay a fatass. If she’s bigger than me, she may need a duffel bag.

When they’re older, you’ll go some place you don’t have to cook and clean it up.

You raise a great question, Opie. My manservant handles these issues for me--here he is with a spot of tea after fencing--so I don't have a good answer. I must ask him for you.
You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

I thought this was dumb at first then checked out those Iso bags. Pretty cool. I have no real use or will to prep to that degree but if anything changes I'm picking one of those up.

I’ve had the isolator fitness 6 meal bag for quite a while now. I like it a lot, but i’ve moved away from the plastic containers so a regular soft side cooler would work almost as well for a lot cheaper. Great organization on the bag though.

I started with the isolator 3 meal bag.

Started working 12 hour shifts so gave the 3 meal tk my wife and bought the six meal.

I then started going to school again and was tired of carrying a backpack and my meal bag so i bought the isolator backpack.

Then i sold the six meal bag on ebay for $80. I havent used any other brands but the 6 meal bag was used daily for 3 years and still looked new and resold for over half of what i payed for it.

Didn't have any quality issues with any of them and the backpack is close in build quality to my bugout bag so longevity shouldn't be a problem.

Nice review. You make me want to buy this bag. That said my new gig has me working from home when I'm not traveling (via air) so zero use and kitchen counter will be my bag!

My experience as well with Isolator Bags. I have the blackout 3-meal Iso-bag and I bought it in Feb 2016. Still looks perfect.

For those that don't know, these bags have custom ice packs that come with them that get slid in the sides of the main compartment. I never have to compete for fridge space at work and I probably couldn't with such a large bag. I just keep it at my desk. The ice packs keep my lunch cold for a long time...I usually have something at 11 and 3:30 and both are real cold.

This pic shows the ice packs getting slid into their dividers on the side of the main compartment:
