Wow...I thought for a second that Titan had cloned the Marrs bar...but they're actually selling THE Marrs bar.

Marrs bar got a fair amount of distributors in the last month or so. Because people were really getting screwed on the shipping (freight). Titan is one of them

Haha that's unexpected. I'm glad I purchased when I did. It's $100 more expensive now. Still a great bar but $799 is steep. It was borderline for me at $699.

Agree on this. $649 at Marrs minus shipping and $799 at Titan. I realize shipping is included at Titan but that's $150 of shipping on this bar now. Sucks because straight bar is irritating my left elbow due to unrelated issues and would be a nice excuse to get one. Up until this point I never had an issue with high or low bar squatting.

ETA - Iron Company has it for $899...what the hell man. https://www.ironcompany.com/marrs-ba...-weightlifting

Freight shipping was included at $699 from thebenchpress.com, which ended up being a little cheaper than direct from Marrs. I feel like shipping was over $100 from Marrs. Maybe as high as $150.

I,was, quoted 230 for shipping, via email from marrs, but their, website calculated 200.

Glad the distributors are finally coming online. Ive sent out several emails and all had no idea what I was talking about. Even Titan, lol.

Woah that's a lot. I don't think it was over $200 but I know rates have been steadily increasing. I didn't have any issues ordering from thebenchpress.com except shipment took a lot longer than they anticipated. The bar came straight from Marrs and the delay was with them.

$275 to SoCal when I checked last week and $629 for the bar…cheaper to get it from Titan vs. from Marrs directly.

Adam do you have the newer version that’s molded foam/polyurethane or the older version? Not sure how they compare against each other for comfort, longevity, etc.

Edit: just saw your review on YouTube and you have the older version.

Do you know if Prime will ever come out with their adjustable bar?

Who knows at this point. Thought it was going to come out last December. I still have confidence it will launch this year. Excited to try it.

This doesn't seem to be the case unless they are slow to update their site. I have the new version with the molded harness and the sleeves are fixed.

    From their FAQ page:

    "Does the harness come off?

No, the bar and 'harness' are welded together - there are no removable parts. This is why the bar is 24” wide and expensive to ship."

I'll be damned, you're right! I figured it was that simple but never tried to remove the sleeves. I wonder how much they save on shipping by doing that? Doesn't seem like it would help much but that's also pretty easy.

Yep you're right, deleted my previous post. It probably makes it just short enough that it can be boxed up instead of put on a pallet. Also seems to be a LH thread on one the sleeves, not sure why.

Seems like they can make a bolt on assembly right at the bend and get it in an even smaller box and make it more shipping friendly.

I received mine back in July of 2019. I think I ended up paying around $100 for taxes and $50 to have it shipped (that's ontop of what Marrs Bar charged for shipping)

I asked them not to ship it on a skid because the fee for a skid is $100. When the package arrived crossboarderpickups informed me that the item was on a skid. I asked them if they could remove it from the skid so I would be charged less for delivery and they said that's not a problem. There are other services you could use where you could cross the border to get it yourself (once the borders reopen)
I'm about to do this now, which shop did you order the bar from? I'm looking at around $1000-1100 after duties and fees, which is not bad compared to $1400-1500.

Does anyone know if they made the harness on the ‘new’ version narrower?
Couldn't multiquote or PM lol, but did you go with crossborderpickups and which store? I'm about the pull the plug too!

Hi. I'm thinking about getting a Marrs-Bar. For those of you who own one, have you had any difficulty getting plates on the bar? I read a review on Rogue's site that claimed that Strength Co. plates are too tight for the bar. Most of my plates that are ≤25 lbs are Strength Co. plates. Thanks!

My Intek and Troy plates fit fine but it's snug. They are built to tighter tolerances than a lot of plates. However, if the Strength Co plates are any thinner in diameter then I could see it being a problem. Also, I'm pretty sure my bar has zinc coated sleeves. The version on Rogue's site says oxide. I don't think oxide is any thicker than zinc but I can't verify that. A thicker coating would make a difference.

Thanks for your reply and help. I found some additional information since asking my question.
According to the review at Garage Gym Reviews, the Marr-Bar sleeve diameter is 49 mm. The Strength Co. plates have a 50.5 mm hole diameter, so they should work with the Marrs-Bar but will be tight.
I ordered a Marrs-Bar from Rogue last night and it should be here in ~15 days.

Congrats! It's a great bar. Make sure you try it for both back and front squats. Olympuc barbell sleeve diameter is 50 mm standard so it sounds like Strength Co might be pushing it a little.

Thanks! Looking forward to getting it and trying good mornings in addition to back and front squats. I have a Kabuki Transformer bar v4, which is great for most squat emulations (goblet, front, SSB, and high bar), but not for low bar or good mornings, because I have to pull on the handles to keep the bar on my back.

My Strength Co. plates fit my Kabuki Power and DL bars, so I'm hoping the Marrs-Bar will have specs similar to them.
