Hey guys, I was looking forward to buying this rack from Fitness Factory. The price is $645 w/ free shipping. I've been in the chat with Terry and I told him I was aiming for a lower price range for the rack. He ended up giving me a discount plus an additional $20 off w/ free shipping. The total is now $555. Is this a good deal?

Absolutely. I've got one, originally intended to "upgrade".....still have it. Simply no reason to get another. BWTG made me a pull up bar, any 3x3 1" attachment can be sleeved to work fine. Don't worry about the 3" spacing or the bench, I've used two benches off both sides of the rack without problems. The liftoffs are a little strange, but I used them fine. BWTG also makes a normal set if you must.

Search for previous threads. Many of us have them, or have had them. They are good racks. You should call Fitness Factory and see about a discount from that price.
You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Pretty decent rack. I have all Bodysolid stuff in my garage gym since I live very close to their corporate HQ and warehouse. See if you can get them to throw in an extra set of J hooks they come in handy (I keep one set on the front for OHP/Incline bench. They stand behind their products too. The lift-offs (j-hooks) are kind of an issue for me on bench because the J-hook lifts slights when unracking. It might not bother you, but I just shim mine so they are tight and don't move at all. I've done 545 walkouts for squats without any stability issues. I have the high/low cable attachment with the pinned weight stack attached to the back of mine. Don't buy the dip apparatus for it, its not a very good design and you have to fight it on an off, a separate VKR with pull-up/dip station is the way to go there. I don't use my garage gym much, prefer my public gym which is almost a private gym, but my wife has used the garage gym for several years and everything is holding up really well.

Screw FID and FI benches. Get a good flat bench. A Rogue or even Body-Solid bench is fine.

Was for me. It was NZD$300 vs NZD$1100, ****s way more expensive in New Zealand. Also I'm in a low population area, I check gym gear listings every day and it's the only one here I have ever seen in about 4 years, never seen a full commercial one within 500 miles even. Before that I had a $40 one that was basically made of tin foil and I can't believe I used to use it lol.

Yeah man, the seller goofed his listing a bit, I won't go into it though. All you need is two crescent wrenches, a crescent and ratcheting socket would be better still. You only need one person, it's easy if you're practical, and if you're not it will just take you a little longer.
If you have uneven concrete you will need rubber strips etc to stabilize it.
Also, you may not know, when you assemble metal things you do the whole thing with loose nuts and then tighten them all up at the end.
