Holy hell, I've had an insane amount of bugs today. Sound glitch twice, ultimate saying it's up but it's not bug, crashed twice, enemies just spawning in and out randomly. I don't know if they had a new patch that completely ****ed everything but it's awful right now.

Cheers brah, but cba changing my OC settings for this game. I'm already pretty much over it after 2 days.
The endgame is absolutely trash. You farm grandmaster 1-2 looking for masterwork and legendary items that roll the right stats. It's the worst kind of RNG. Brb masterwork drops that has +15% to pistol ammo and +20% to gear speed. Awesome dismantle drop right there. Tbh, the only stats that I've seen that make any kind of difference are the flat damages ones, and there's a massive fuking difference between +50% gear dmg and +20% pistol ammo. Complete joke itemization and endgame content atm.
To make matters worse, I still don't know what 3/4 of the stats even do. Wtf does +11% to support luck do? I assume +% gear speed is cooldown reduction, but it could be something else. I really have no idea. The +% dmg to base doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Is it just +dmg to the ability's base damage? What's the point? There's just a bunch of them that are so poorly worded that it makes me feel like the devs have never even played an RPG. My storm had a drop for +combo augment. Wtf does that even do?
Bioware, why are you trying to reinvent the fuking wheel? Just give me the stats and be done with it. Let's also add that there aren't any statsheets at all in this game. No end of mission damage numbers, no dps checks, team revives, etc. This is just basic stuff that should be in any lootbased RPG, but is completely missing in Anthem.
Honestly, I'm at the point where I'm about ready to call this game garbage because it's flat out annoying to play. I can't tell you how many times I've groaned because a contract quest will pop up in the same room that I just left. I don't listen to any of the dialogue, I spam escape to escape the monotony. The city itself is a joke, and I'm convinced the no sprint decision was to artificially add hours of content.
I was originally hovering around 7/10 because the combat is genuinely good and fun, but because of how annoying every other aspect of this fuking game is, it's a 4/10 at best.
edit: I really don't understand it because isn't this the same team that made Dragon Age: Inquisition? Inquisition had its faults, but the itemization wasn't one of them. I actually really liked Inquisition's itemization and gear progression. Hell, DA:I's multiplayer, which was a 4 man coop multiplayer exactly like Anthem, had a better gear system than this fuking game. In what world does that make any sense?Last edited by NillaWafer; 02-17-2019 at 02:20 PM.

How many load screens do you need to go through just to play 1 mission?
Load into game
Load into town
Load into expedition screen
Load into map
Minimum of 4? Then to play another one:
Load mission finish screen (useless screen btw).
Load town
Load expedition screen
Load mission
And that's not counting the time it takes to trot to the contract givers and spam escape to get the mission.FL IS THE GOAT STATE CREW

Seriously guys, think about when they announced the game and what they've shown all the way up to this year. This is not at all the game that was expected or what they portrayed.
I'm just astonished how the dev's thought the countless amount of loading screens and hardly any open play hubs that make the game seem lifeless was a good idea.
I played The Division 2 beta and it was far, FAR better than this garbage. So I'll see you all there.190lbs Comp lifts: 420/350/600 USAPL

I finished the story campaign yesterday and in the dozens of hours I played I had the volume glitch twice. The most irritating thing I have seen is people queuing up for 'Hard' and getting constantly one shotted (i.e., needing the team to 'carry' them) without their being a vote-kick option. And BioWare devs have said they won't add in a vote-kick, I think.
Going to be looking for premade grouping I guess for the endgame stuff. For what it's worth, I think it's fun. If you're reading this thread for anything more than to chit on the game feel free to add me on Origin for some games (Aristotelian1980) especially when you clear the campaign and want to do some loot hunting.

Use the tombs quest as an opportunity to really practice your skill - I turned my difficulty down to normal or easy and went into freeplay and basically explored the entire map. I killed colossus' solo, and it helps you really understand their timing, weakpoints etc if you're solely responsible for taking one down.
World events are fun - one took me into a sort of 'dream world'; some link to other contracts you have done (lore wise); some are hard as heck (on hard me and another guy repeatedly died to this tower defended fortification).
After the tomb quest I think it was another 6-7 hours but I did the contracts on the side too. I started the game rushing the main quest but then got into the side stuff too, some of it is fun, and leads up to interesting boss fights also.

Just rage quited at the stupid find 15 chests to open the tomp part quest. Another game that will probably be good in a year or 2. I'll play through the campaign and a little bit of end game but I defiantly don't see myself putting 100+ hours into it like I thought I would. THey shouldn't have even bothered with the whole Fort Tarsis part of the game where you have meaningless conversations. I could honestly give a **** what any of them have to say, its completely pointless and it doesn't change any outcome throughout the game.

Trying to do the first freehold.
Spawn in, teammates already at first checkpoint and the Door is closed. I have to sit there.
Leave and spawn into another, teammates already at first checkpoint the FUKIN door is closed and I can’t enter.
BRB 6 times in a row the same thing. You gotta get to the end before it ports you to teammates. What kind of potato logic spawns you into a group in progress and then blocks you behind a door so you can’t join unless you wait for about 30 minutes....☻/

The amount of bugs right now is truly unacceptable
I've had atleast 4 contracts where we get to a certain point like "destroy pylons" and we kill all 6 and it says 5/6 complete and won't progress.
Had a few Stronghold missions where we got to the last boss and he wouldn't appear the objective just said "Advance further" when we were in the boss room.
I looted a masterwork grenade launcher that is just straight up broken, it's meant to skip and explode after firing but instead it skips, skips, skips.............and blows up legit 30 seconds later.
Sometimes when I use my Storms Lightning attack it just doesn't appear and does nothing but puts me on cooldown.
Legit one of the worst loot/shoot rpg launches I've ever played and I'm pretty much done before the "official" launch.PSN: Quadzilla501

There’s a patch that goes out Friday that’s fixing a bunch of the known issues, most of the game breaking ones.
I played quite a bit over the last 3 days. Level 26, beat the main story line.
I reeeeeeealllly dig the story line and the last quest was a blast. It was with playing just for that. I only encountered two really big bugs, the first being the stronghold and spawning in ahead or behind teammates and being blocked from joining them for about 20 minutes. The second being one of the last missions not spawning a timer and having to abort near the end. Did it 4 times with the same problem, finally read the work around was to do it solo. Both these are fixed with the patch Friday.
The only other thing that’s killin me is the load times. There’s so many load screens and they take quite a bit. I wouldn’t mind the time if there weren’t so many. Apparently the patch is lowering the time by 20-30% which will help.
I’m having a blast with the game despite everything. I like the gameplay and skills. I love loot grinders and making sets of gear. I haven’t even hit “end game” and I’m throwing sets together for different suits.
If they continue to fix stuff and add more end game content fairly quickly I can see myself playing for quite a while (unless Division 2 is stellar).☻/

I just watched all of that absolutely Brutal SkillUp video, and I have to say that his points seem well thought out and he gives analysis and examples for his criticism.
I haven't played other than the Beta, but a lot of what he's saying are things I sensed would be an issue when I played. The game just seemed....well, boring, and just couldn't get myself interested despite the fact that I'd anticipated this game for a long time.
And those loading screens....☠ By reading this post, you have agreed to my negative reputation terms of service.

Man, the biggest takeaway from this review is how these awfully released games still have armies of fanboys that will die on their hill as they defend their beloved game to the death. "Oh, but I'm having fun so this reviewer is just wrong lol! Wait until Anthem releases content in March, it'll be amazin' then." It's really baffling, and you can just head over to the subreddit to see threads that are already trying to wash away the negative reviews.
I want to point out that I am absolutely positive that Bioware/EA will release their first wave of content after March 15th. Why? Because it forces all of the people who paid for early access through origin premier on February 15th, those who didn't buy the full game, to pay for another month of premier. Classic case of content cut from launch to sell it as DLC, only this time EA can paint it as a good thing because they marketed the game as not having paid DLC. EA knows what they're doing with Premier I'll give them that.FL IS THE GOAT STATE CREW

SkillUp is one of the best IMO. My one complaint is I find he comments too often on games he hasn't reviewed just regurgitating what he has heard, but when he reviews something he goes in depth and gives great opinion, even does a good job presenting his personal tastes and any attached biases.
I know people were hyped for anthem but I would have steered clear of it day one just because EA is attached. EA, Ubisoft, and Activision have a clear enough track record for me to stay away from getting anything of theirs on launch, no matter how interested in am in it.
Edit:
Seems like being a video game reviewer is worse than your typical desk or trade job with all the AAA garbage coming out. Just LoL@ this

Is there a fix for this like moise/lag issue? The game is unplayable for me completely. Any time I enter combat it's like server lag or some thing? My mouse and keyboard literally hang up completely every 2 seconds I can't aim or do anything. Legit 100 percent can't even play if I wanted to. Google shows alot of people with this issue but no solution
Sometimes I park in handicap spaces, while handicap people make handicap faces
