    Exclamation Making your own Preworkout help

    As the title states I'd like to potentially make my own powder based "pre." I'm really trying to get away from the stims (I love Optimum Nutrition Gold/Cellucor C4/White Flood) as I'd like to focus more on a stim-free but "pump" based pre.

    I'd really like to keep it at 3-4 powders MAX for now. So far I know I want beta alanine and creatine, maybe L-arginine? Other than that what should I be looking for and why? Also how do I figure out how many grams of each to thrown in the blender bottle?

    I'd recommend against it. Also, you're off to a bad start with what you want to put in. It always seems like a good idea at first. You'd need a good scale that would measure very precisely, and weighing everything out each time gets old fast. You'll also need to find a way to flavor it as some raws can be absolutely putrid. Have you considered just doing a stim free pre? There are quite a few good ones out there on the market.

    As far as the BA and creatine goes there is no acute ergogenic benefit to either. Both have to be chronically dosed, and not necessarily taken preworkout. BA is best taken with food.
    Supplement a good diet: don't diet on supplements.

    Originally I was going to purchase a stim-free pre but there are very little to no reviews on Amazon and then searching old threads on both here and reddit it seems like stim-free pres are tiny. I also don't want proprietary blends etc and a lot of them have very confusing labels.

    There's a bunch of good stim free options:

    I do Body Octane and/or Pump Powder depending on the day
    -stim free Quake if you can still find it
    -High Volume
    -Hemavol
    -GreenMag/ Might
    -Plasmajet
    -There will be a stim free Dr. Jekyll soon Pro Supps announced
    -Pretty sure Cellucor has at least one stim free option
