    Weight stagnation

I've been on carb cycling for 2 weeks now - macros calculated up to a single gram (Protein 1.5 gr per kg of bodyweight, fats 0.5 gr per kg, and carbs are 100 gr when having a leg day, 0 when doing just cardio, and 50 - 75 gr for chest and back day. In kcal, it's 1200 - 1400 kcal, and still - I'm not losing weight.

Is it possible that I actually lose weight, but creatine retained water? I've started taking Creatine Ethyl Ester 4-5 days ago.

    I workout 6x a week - 4 day split (chest+triceps, back+biceps, shoulders+abs, legs) + 2 days cardio.

Water weight shifts can mask fat loss for short periods of time, but if you go 2-3 weeks with no weight loss then the only solution is to drop calories further.

I'm only 1lb down in 2 weeks, and that 1 lb went down before I started taking CEE. It's silly to drop calories further at this stage, they're low as it is ( I'm 5' 8" and 210 lbs). My calorie intake isn't high and I have like 50 lbs of fat to lose.

If you bothered to read up on the creatine you'd know the answer to this question.

I have, as a matter of fact. And the reviews and opinions are divided - some experience bloating, some don't. On the bottle of pills it says it's not retaining water like creatine monohydrate, but the reviews of people are varying.

Creatine causes your cells to hold more water. It's what it does and it's normal to gain some (minimal, as in less than 5 lbs) because of that. People use the term "bloating" incorrectly all the time (re: stomach goes from flat to slightly rounded after a meal--I'm bloated!)

    Thank you.
I actually read "bloating" comments for their face and joints, not for the stomach. So that's why I interpreted as water retention. On the pill bottle, on the other hand, said that CEE doesn't retain water, which I'm not sure I'll believe, now with this experience.

As long as you're eating in a deficit, you're still losing fat. At a certain point (I would think in the next 2 weeks) your fat loss will outpace that initial water weight gain and you'll see movement on the scale again.

No need to carb cycle unless you like to. There is no benefit for fatloss. Your overall weekly calories will determine the outcome

My question was actually about why I'm not losing more weight... can it be because of Creatine Ethyl Ester? Becuase I've read somewhere it doesn't retain water, but the reviews are mixed...
