#1 in yards/game defense.
#1 in points/game defense.
#1 in defensive efficiency.
What is defensive efficiency?
"Team efficiencies are based on the point contributions of each unit to the team's scoring margin, on a per-play basis. The values are adjusted for strength of schedule and down-weighted for "garbage time" (based on win probability). The scale goes from 0 to 100; higher numbers are better and the average is roughly 50 for all categories."
There's a reason Wisconsin won 100+ games over the last decade without ever having a "top 25 recruiting class", even if not "chosen", by the "experts", for "playoff" competition.DR. 3time

You beat average competition. That is how you got 100+ wins over the last decade. Your defense is good, yes. But lets not pretend like a fair amount of wins aren't due to being in the significantly inferior West. Nebraska benefits from that too, so it's not crazy to think they can abuse an easier schedule too if Scott Frost is as good as people think. The West is probably good for at least 2 extra wins per year.
Since the B1G has had divisions you've been pretty terrible against the big 4 in the East. That includes a time where UM was down, OSU had an interim coach and sanctions, and PSU had sanctions.
Out of conference during that span, you haven't been world beaters either. When they play decent or better teams they don't do great. They lost to an average LSU
W- 4-8 Notre Dame
W- 8-4 LSU
L- 8-5 LSU
L- Eventual national champ Bama.
Since the B1G has gone to divisions this is how Wisconsin has done against the Easts big 4:
2011 - Played PSU (sanctioned), OSU (sanctioned and interim coach), and MSU (twice) - Went 2-2
2012 - Played PSU, MSU, OSU - Went 0-3
2013 - Played OSU, PSU - Went 0-2
2014 - You played none of the good East teams until OSU in the championship. You lost. 0-1
2015 - You avoid all of the good East teams again, but don't make the championship.
2016 - You play MSU, UM, OSU, and PSU (in the championship). You go 1-3, only beating a 3-9 MSU.
2017 - You play UM and OSU (championship). You went 1-1 (beating an 8-5 UM)
2018 - You play UM and PSU. You went 0-2
2019 - You actually look like a really good team this season. Seems like the offense and defense are both looking really good.
That's 5-14 against PSU, OSU, MSU, and UM since the B1G has gone to divisions. If you break down those 5 wins you had:
1) 6-7 OSU in Luke Fickell's season in 2011
2) 11-3 MSU in the conference championship in 2011
3) 3-9 MSU in 2016
4) 8-5 UM in 2017
5) This years UM team, who looks pretty average.Everything depends upon execution; having just a vision is no solution.

Interdasting how things are shaking out if Bama, Clemson, Ohio State, and Oklahoma run the table. I mean, oklahoma still have some question marks on their calendar, namely Texas. I'm also assuming Bama runs the table because i've been told all year #7 Auburn, #5 LSU, and #3 Georgia are "cupcakes/nobodies/weak schedule".
I wonder how badly they punish the loser of the SEC chip if both teams were undefeated up until that point, and oklahoma runs the table. I think style points are going to play a big role. This might end up like the inagural playoffs when TCU and Baylor were playing out of their minds and spots 3 - 6 could have been anybody

So much wrong. Last time we played LSU we won on a neutral field. When did we play Notre Dame? Why didn't you include the slashing of Miami that was #1 just a few weeks prior? Among several other. Not sure you're tracking the same team. There's a reason we won over 25 more games than michigan over the last decade.

I'm not gonna act like I sat there for hours analyzing the whole thing. It's possible I missed a decent win, but I didn't even look for bad losses either.
-You did beat LSU on a neutral field... in LAMBO FIELD... so neutral!! Not sure why you mention that, since I gave you credit for that win.
-Two years before that, you lost to them on a neutral field. I gave you credit for that loss.
-I must have been smoking crack when I said you played ND... not sure where I got that. My bad. lol
-When did you slash Miami outside of a bowl game? The only Miami I see in your regular season schedule since the B1G went to divisions is Miami of Ohio. I guess if you want to take credit for that win... uhhh ok.
You are right about your last point though. There are multiple reasons you've won more games than us. UM digging out of the worst years in program history (Rich Rod). Hoke being bad while simultaneously going a complete different direction with the program identity. Then, most importantly your division being a who's who of who isn't.
If Harbaugh (who hasn't even been that good) was Michigan's coach for the last 10 years and they were in your division, they'd have as many or more wins. He has a .500 record against Wisconsin and that was after adopting a 5-7 program, and again seemingly not being the coach everyone thought he was. Since he has been at Michigan, Wisconsin has 2 more regular season wins than Michigan does...and at this point most people are saying Harbaugh has been a failure. But Wisconsin is great? Wisconsin has 2 more conference wins than Michigan since Harbaugh has taken over too. Since Wisconsin has a .263 win percentage against the big 4 in the East and probably right around a .500 record against good Power 5 teams, how are you gonna try telling me that being in the West isn't exactly why they have such a great record?
You get blessed with at least a 2 win advantage every year for being in the West. I notice you didn't even have an argument against your record against the big 4 in the East. Why is that? If you swap ANY of the big 4 in the East with Wisconsin in the West they have just as much success and Wisconsin doesn't finish higher than 2nd or 3rd in the East; essentially, you'd be Michigan (but with a better bowl record).
I'm NOT saying Wisconsin is bad though. I'm saying they have a huge advantage playing in a below average to bad division. With it being a bad division, there is no reason that if Scott Frost is as good as people say, that he too can't be as successful as you.Everything depends upon execution; having just a vision is no solution.
