nah i'm not the only one whos noticed he's been injury prone. and besides, i'm not even talking about that. it's his flip flopiness.
https://www.wruf.com/headlines/2019/...-for-the-year/
Angels’ Mike Trout is injured for his third season in a row. Trout has Morton’s neuroma, which is a thickening of the tissue around a nerve in the ball of the foot.
brb https://www.mlb.com/video/trout-out-...on-c2338238883 ---- looks like absolutely nothing. and then he's seen smiling in the dugout. numerous times he says its just a small thing
Trout said he’s hoping he can play tomorrow but it’s still sore. He got an X-ray and MRI that showed only inflammation

this stuff has happened numerous times. i'm telling you, he's been a **** for a while

Indians now considering changing their name
So let me get this straight, Cowboys is fine but Indians is unacceptable and racist.
Because Cowboys and Indians go hand in hand. Somehow only the one is offensive though.
RIP Braves and Chiefs next. Even though Braves are representative of Indian warriors and chiefs reflect leaders of the tribe.

Rangers getting pressured too because apparently Texas Rangers have a history of brutal and racist policing
So if you’re keeping score, Texas’ team name is celebratory of Rangers but Atlanta and Cleveland team names are derogatory of Indians and Braves
Completely logical

my first thought with all of this was that the players don't want to play. create enough of this and you've got most teams short and then there's no season
buttt i guess, if theres a legit medical professional saying they can't play
that's just been my original thought everytime i've seen most of this chit

So you're saying you think players are claiming to test positive but not actually testing positive? That might be the dumbest thing I've heard in 2020 and that's including the sh*t coming out of liberals mouths every other day.
But there won't be a season probably. I still believe this is something we're all going to come in contact with. This whole idea behind mass testing is like mass testing during flu season. Even if you don't "get the flu" in the sense you're not needing to get antibiotics from the doctor and feeling like crap you probably would test positive for the flu virus at some point during the year.
That's the problem with this test. It's going to give positives even if you're fine.
If we're going to treat this thing like the plague then yeah we aren't gonna have a baseball season. And it's clear that's how this country wants to treat this thing so I don't expect a baseball season. I'm just hoping people don't blow this whole testing positive thing so out of proportion we shut the whole country back down again. We're already seeing Texas and California get skittish over higher numbers lately even though deaths haven't been rising.
The logic has been something to truly witness in this countryLast edited by SoutheastBeast1; 07-04-2020 at 02:48 PM.

i mean this whole time it has seemed like the players do not want to play. and yea, i'd put your butt buddy freeman in there too
i admit that testing positive in the clubhouses is less suspect, and harder to pull off, but i've been sued by a fraudulent injury before so i wouldn't put it past someone with significantly more money than me to be able to do the same thing.
could also show how many people have it that don't know. i mean.. we've been shut down since march and NOW you show symptoms? presumably it's not from the baseball fields as those individuals would have been isolated too. idk how they're travelling either
you could say it's because there have been some increases but you'd have to look at each individual city and where the players were coming from.
it is interesting i'd like to know the severity of their symptoms with a lot of these players or if they were asymptomatic
i also hope that mlb owners are willing to call up aaa'ers. let the mlb'ers forego their season. call up the minor leaguers throwing 100, give them the incentive of 500k minimum and playing in these awesome stadiums. i bet quite a bit that the avg. baseball game goer wouldn't notice the disparity in talent. and we'd see some aaa'ers step up with awesome incentives
wreck these *******s making 34 mil/ year crying and let them forego their wagesLast edited by propreffered7; 07-04-2020 at 03:18 PM.

So all of the cases testing positive, regular people that is, must be bogus too.
I mean we’ve been shut down since March like you say. How are these regular people only now showing symptoms?
Also Freeman is said to have caught his at camp from one of the asymptomatics (Touki or Smith) who showed up.
How they know that not sure but that’s what I read.
Lastly lol at my butt buddy Freeman. Aren’t you still pretending to be a Braves fan? Shouldnt you pretend to like Freeman if so?
If these players are pretending to test positive you should take notes because you suck at pretending to be a Braves fan."One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. im not privy to numbers like this. if i were in the medical field, i prob could find out. but i'm not so i'm not going to pretend to know. nor do i know how they conduct their tests. but i have found this weird too.
one of the only reasons must be that people aren't actually following the guidelines. when we were in "isolation" there must have been a small pool of people that didn't isolate and continued to spread it, whether they knew it or not. as things opened up, more people were in contact with each other and it spread even more. so, that's why it's increased as things have opened up. it's probably more complex than that too, cause you have transplants that probably traveled from their state to go to other ones, etc., etc. but again the aforementioned reason is prob the biggest
it does only take 1 to spread it, but it's just the timing of these baseball related ones. so, in theory they were in hiding with covid and since they have to report they're now testing positive? unless of course they've had it for a while
this also comes down to the intricacies of the disease. how long do antibodies stay prevalent? if you have the disease and recover are you immune? lots of questions branch off from that
Also Freeman is said to have caught his at camp from one of the asymptomatics (Touki or Smith) who showed up.
How they know that not sure but that’s what I read.
if there are asymptomatics they should shut down camp lol. this should be easy to discern if they're supposedly taking tests. if everybody showed up the first day healthy and then the disease spread then someone is asymptomatic and it will continue to spread. if someone had to wait for the incubation period and then showed symptoms they could isolate the player and those they've come into contact with
if it became out of control then the normal testing they're doing should be able to tell when it's getting out of control
anyways, i'm not saying this declaratively, i'm just suspicious that all of these have popped up after a prolonged shut down. it is all traceable, but as i said.. something im not privy to

On the topic of if you get it are you immune I don’t see why you’d be immune from testing positive.
You might have antibodies to help fight it when you come in contact again, so you’re likelihood of getting sick is less. But that’s not how these tests work.
If it’s in your system at the time of testing you get hit with a positive.
Think of it like any other drug test. Drugs stay in your system even if you’re not high that particular moment. It’s the same thing
That’s why this micromanaging of the infected is absurd. And it’s why the public freaking out over so many positive tests occurring is beyond retarded.
On track for another relatively low day of deaths around the 500-600 range compared to the 2000 we were seeing back in mid April
Yet media keeps fear mongering pretending it’s out of control and back with a vengeance."One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. Also last I checked it’s possible to get the flu more than once in the same year.
And I know there’s been cases of people testing positive twice. Not sure if people have gotten sick twice, but I don’t see why it couldn’t happen if it’s similar to the flu.
Again, it’s less likely to get sick twice if you already fought it off once because you’ve built resistance but not exactly unheard of to get sick twice from other viruses.
Cliffs of all of this, I still believe this is blown out of proportion.
I read something like 55% of deaths were from outbreaks in nursing homes. We seriously can’t put measures in place to protect nursing homes to lower death rates? Seriously? A monkey could put a game plan in place to limit exposure to those in nursing homes.
The excessive testing is starting to do more harm than good to this country’s psyche because people are stupid as **** to think critically about what positive tests mean. Perfect example: JY"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. Houston I cannot even get real data since they said gathering for protests doesn’t make the numbers go up, but only going to the bars and beaches.
Luis Cessa and DJ LeMahieu tested positive and have mild symptoms. If you test positive everyone treats you like you have the plague and have 2 weeks to live.Titletown, Lake Show, Evil Empire

Things aren't going back to normal until we stop caring about asymptomatic and positive cases. If we test everyone every couple days there's going to be a revolving door of players on the DL. This goes for 2021 too. If there's no vaccine how will next year be any different?

Better yet, even if there is a vaccine will this be any different or will people still be crazy enough to think this never ending testing needs to occur? At this point it wouldn't shock me even with a vaccine if people wanted this endlessly monitored for a good year after the vaccine is developed so they can overreact.

Houston has the biggest medical center in the world. So we are not too concerned with the ICU beds filling up. We have also heard about the average hospital stay being less than 3 days.
We will see where the death rates end up. The numbers in the city have sort of declined in the last few days. Florida is the problem. But if deaths don’t spike anywhere, you have to view that as a success. Meaning either the virus mutated to be more contagious but less deadly, we have learned to treat it better or at risk people are taking it seriously.
I wonder if I have had covid. I bet one of us has had it. My bet is on Bateman.
It looks like Yordan Alvarez and Jose Urquidy may have COVID. Which would leave the Astros starting rotation short.Last edited by melanimal_old; 07-05-2020 at 10:58 AM.

Very highly doubtful the first one or two vaccines we get has an efficacy above 65 percent. Eventually they will get it to 100. I think rapid affordable testing readily available everywhere would allow safe travel again. I know a lot of places in the Caribbean are asking for proof of a negative test in the last 72 hours to enter. My hope is that is what Colombia does. But I’d bet they don’t let Americans in until Europe does. They plan to open the borders to international flights September 1. But that doesn’t mean they won’t make people quarantine for 2 weeks.
