The only thing you missed is Bateman made his pick and Iceman is up
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

14 team keeper, 5x5. Need suggestions on who to keep. Can keep up to 6 players. Round cost in (). * next to who I'm leaning towards:
Jonathan Villar (6)
Jeff McNeil (15)
Jean Segura (4)
Aaron Hicks (9)*
Mallex Smith (18)*
Eddie Rosario (12)*
Francisco Mejía (15)
Eloy Jiménez (15)*
David Dahl (14)*
José Leclerc (13)*
A.J. Minter (15)
Arodys Vizcaíno (11)
Kyle Freeland (15)
Corey Knebel (13)
Also have an offer on the table to acquire Khris Davis. Would require me to give up a 5th rounder and keep him for a 3rd. Doing this would also mean I have to drop a keeper from above since 6 is the max. Reps for advice. Thx."They'll tell you failure is not an option. That is ridiculous. Failure is always an option. So, basically if you drafted a guy too high, youd want to throw him back in the draft. Cause you could get someone better in the draft
Would also be nice if you nail on a guy late.
4th is close for segura. But id prob. Keep him
Segura, rosario, eloy, leclerc, arodys
And mejia i guess. 15th is close for him. But having a stud catcher would be nice. Id contemplate just picking 5 and retaining the picks
Dahl is ok but rockies will have a log jam. And dont have anywhere for rodgers or hampson
A 3rd and 5th for davis is too much.

Dahl, Rosario, Freeland, Jimenez and id just let the rest of that garbage fall back in the draft
Mejia for a 15th is an overpay.
ADP has him going 274th. In your league 15th round with 14 teams is 210 picks.
It’s not a bad keep if you’re high on him but it is a slight overpay than where he’s been going. So if you’re not totally convinced in him there’s better ways to spend that pick.
He’s had a nice spring but his bat didn’t exactly light the MLB on fire with his shirt sample size for games that actually mattered last September. So I’m a skeptical hippo here. I don’t know if I’d overpay for him
And technically it will cost you a 11th if you kept all the aforementioned players (Eloy 15th, Dahl 14th, thus Freeland 13th, Rosario 12th)
Mejia is a definite no go. I’m even hesitant of Freeland for a 13th now but would probably still take him there considering you have no pitchers orherwiseLast edited by SoutheastBeast1; 03-10-2019 at 01:20 PM.

I disagree that Mejia is an overpay. In leagues like this where players are kept where they're drafted, being drafted late bumps a player's value (similar to 10+ in our league). It's incorrect to take normal ADP to use that as a bearing as to where guys should be drafted here. Now, there's obviously risk that Mejia becomes nothing more than a highly-touted prospect who never sees the light of day. But I think Mejia with a 15th can return tremendous value considering the state of the catcher position and what his upside is, and there isn't much risk keeping him this year for a 15th knowing you have all of your early picks still intact to round out the rest of your roster. That said, op mentioned that he doesn't have to keep 6 players (I initially thought he had to) so knowing that now I'd throw everyone back in the pool but Eloy, Dahl, Rosario and Leclerc. But I still don't think Mejia is an overpay.
Leafs, Raptors, Jays, umad?

FYI if you do the math he’d be keeping Mejia 60 spots above his ADP
So even if it’s incorrect to take a normal ADP because some guys are drafted later than normal, you’d need 60 guys kept later than the 15th round that should be kept earlier in order to push up where he should be selected.
With a max of 6 keepers, 14 teams, that totals 84 players MAX.
Only way it’s not an overpay based on your dismissal of his normal ADP is if 60 out of 84 players kept in that league are kept for a 16+ round when they should be selected in the 15th or lower
Let that math sink in, there’s a lot to absorb there. Read it twice if need be. Some SAT level sh*t going on there.
Tldr
-it’s an overpay cupcake
Even if he hits and Mejia is great by definition it’s an overpay based on the average selection.
It’s ok to overpay (we all do it probably multiple times in a draft) but only if you’re really confident about that guy should you do it."One day I won't be able to lift any more. Sidenote. Nothing to do with ranking, but talking purely mallex as a keeper. Mallex is good but mariners outfield has some depth
Haniger, smith, domingo santana
Jay bruce needs to play somewhere. Same with healy and edwin encarnacion. They traded for jp crawford at ss but have tim beckham and dee gordon. I doubt mallex is lock in as lf'er
To me, beckham, gordon, even seager with healy, bruce, crawford all could switch around with some of them seeing the OF.
Hes always injured too. Id take him in the 200 range, but not 100

I don't keep Mallex because you've already got a full squad of outfielders with Eloy, Rosario, and Dahl. Yeah you might technically get the best bang for your buck in terms of where Mallex is kept but at the end of the day you also want the best players possible filling up your slots.
I really like Mallex as a player but he's one dimensional from a fantasy perspective. Can't even really trust he'll hit .300 for you."One day I won't be able to lift any more.
