people can angle all they want about this benefiting the yankees but it does not.

1) If it goes 7 games, the yankees are looking at using that group of 5 relievers 3 days in a row, or probably limiting Chapman to 1 inning of work per outing.
2) The difference with showing Osuna multiple times to hitters is he throws 4 pitches. Josh James throws 3, Presley (he isn't right, right now) throws 3. Will Harris basically is a cutter guy. The downfall is Joe Smith though.
3) Justin Verlander throws game 5 on full rest and will be available in the bullpen for game 7.
4) Travel day is going to Houston. Houston sleeps in their own beds and does their own routines.
5) Obviously if game 4 was going to be a bullpen game, the yankees pen Is so much better than the Astros... more of a discrepancy than seeing Tanakas splitter a SECOND time vs Greinke
6) If game 6 is an elimination game for the Astros, Cole can and will pitch on 3 days rest.

depends if the Astros are in an elimination situation in game 6. The Astros won't throw Cole on 3 days rest unless game 6 is for their lives. Verlander would be in by the 3rd inning probably though, if it was a "bullpen" game for the Astros.
