there are crazy benefits which all have solid scientific support, so unless you're trying to bloatmaxx to bloatlord status there's no reason why it shouldnt be adopted.

-less work than eating all day
ive found that between hours 12-17 of my fast i have awesome, smooth energy and focus - thats dat der fat furn for fuel and energy. you can literally feel how much better the energy is from fat sources vs carb sources.

I utilize I.F. throughout the summer months to stay leaner.. I have read all of the "benefits" of I.F. and to be honest couldn't tell you if its legit in that aspect or not. But what I can tell you is I feel phenomenal on the last couple of hours fasted.. it helps me keep calories down and Macros where they need to be, combined with carb cycling I can easily stay in single digit BF% for months...
In reality I am not ignorant and realize its all calories in vs calories out , but its just what I do.6'2" @ 247lbs

if you give insulin to a guy or gal even eating 2000 cals a day or less.. they will get fat if you give them enough insulin over X amount of time - this is science. it isn't about calories but hormone levels.
a doctor i think in the 70s or 80s (need to get the study from the obesity code) did an experiment where he ate 5000 calories of protein and fats over 3 weeks. he gained 1kg.. but lost inches around his waist, so gained lbm. he was shocked so tried the same thing but with 80% carbs (mostly refined). over 3 weeks he gained 8kg+ and inches, guess what that gain was?
100cals of twinkies isn't the same as 100cals rice or sweet potatoes.. one has had the fiber taken out which increases the absorbtion of sugar into the blood = increase in insulin. not exactly natural and the reason the western world is getting fatter by the day since most crap being sold in the store is processed junk. it isn't eat less. move more. since if you eat less, your body slows down it's system (heart rate etc) to burn less calories. not sustainable. but if you eat more of the right foods, your body will expend more calories, produce more heat etc. it won't just turn those calories into fat (see the doctor that ate 5000 cals a day as an example)Last edited by AWillis; 02-06-2019 at 08:07 AM.

Broscience like this makes it seem so complicated to lose weight
It literally is CICO, whole foods and protons are more satiating, but you would lose weight on 1800calories per day of coca cola just as fast as you would off of 1800 calories per day of chicken and rice.
IF simply makes it more tolerable to eat below maintenance
