    Unhappy Looking for a specific type of equipment but can't find it anywhere

    Hi all,

    I recently went to a hotel gym and found an amazing piece of equipment that really worked my triceps.
    Its literally like a cable rope but just as a solid bar instead (see image) - and when you press your thumb on it and do a single arm cable tricep pulldown I felt a muscle I never knew even existed.

    Is there a name to this piece of equipment?

    TBH that scares me a little bit. Say you're doing a heavy set and this slides out of your sweaty hand? The odds are pretty good this thing it headed upward towards your face.

    I would use a loading pin, standard or Olympic, so at least there's a stopper on the end to avoid the incident CliveWarren mentioned.

    But then I wouldn't waste my time with a cable pulldown to begin with........

    Lol.. Powerlift type lifters are just one injury away from cables and machines. Those numbers do have an upper limit....

    Don't follow? Why do you need a machine if you have an injury? They make 1# pink dumbbells if it bad enough that's the rehab starting point.
