    Vans/Converse as a lifting shoe?

    Hello, guys!
I am thinking of getting some firm shoes for squating and deadlifting, because my current shoes are too cushiony and I need a stable ground.(I tried bare foot but it is not my favourite). I don't want to buy lifting shoes right now, so I've made a resurch on popular and affortable shoes that people who lift wear. It seems that the most popular ones are Converse and Vans, so I am ready to give it a try, but I am not sure which one of them is better? What do you think? Team Converse or Team Vans?
P.S. I am not a professional weightlifter but weightlifting is a big part of my life.

I personally prefer to Deadlift and Squat barefoot. I feel I’m more rooted. Some gyms don’t allow it. For those I would choose Converse, still the best priced out there IMO. You can get a pair for as low as $25 depending how hard you are willing to look with sales, cash back and discounts out there.

Target has “one star” Converse that are about $20 cheaper than the “all star” Converse sold elsewhere. They work well.

Sounds like a great idea but I don't have Target in my country, so I need to stick to the "mainstream" ones 😁

Depending on where you’re located, real lifting shoes may not be much more.

Some of the best lifters in the world use Converse. I'm not among them but I've been sporting them for well over a decade sometimes mixed with olympic lifting shoes depending on the movement.
