Hey gang - welcome!!

The super nice folks at Scivation/Nutrabolt have been on the move - revamping the product line and introducing newness - new labels, new products. Thanks to ScivationLead & IlliniTrack800m I was afforded the opportunity to try out the new XTEND PRO Whey Isolate in the Cookie Butter flavor. And as a thank you they sent me a tub of XTEND Glacial Grape, now XTEND Original in Glacial Grape flavor, with new labelling - very Nutrabolt.


In this short multi-part review, I'm going to break down the formulas, what I like, maybe what I don't like so much and a couple pics(?) Stay Tuned!!

I picked up the vanilla ice cream and chocolate flavor 5lb tubs myself. They mixed very very well with water, haven't tried with milk yet. The flavor was also good and it has great macros per servings, would recommend

(BCAAs) [from Whey Protein Isolate, L-Leucine, L-Valine, L-Isoleucine]

Ingredients:
Instantized Whey Protein Isolate (Whey Protein Isolate, Sunflower Lecithin), Peanut Flour, Natural Flavors, L-Leucine, L-Valine, L-Isoleucine, Guar Gum, Salt (Sodium Chloride), Xanthan Gum, Sucralose, Acesulfame Potassium.
CONTAINS: MILK, PEANUTS

Directions For Xtend Pro: As a dietary supplement, mix each serving in 8 fl. oz. water or beverage of choice and shake well. On training days, consume directly following exercise. On non-training days, consume first thing in the morning. For best results, consume daily.




Here's what I like: Instantized Isolate - fast absorbing, Xtend mix of BCAAs ADDED to the 25g protein for more amino support, NATURAL flavors.

What I'd like to do differently : Sucralose & Ace-K. Sometimes you can't really taste the artificial sweetener combo, but in this I get that aftertaste that stays on my tongue for hours.


Test results: always 1 scoop in 8oz liquid. Sometimes water with ice, or without, and sometimes in FairLife 2% milk.

Mixing - fairly decent, not the best for an isolate; but, I think it's because of the peanut flour.

Taste - not the greatest in water only, but far better in milk. It's called 'Cookie Butter' but in my humble opinion it should have been more like peanut butter cookie. I get a big hit of peanut at the beginning. It's plenty drinkable, though.


Overall: it's an okay protein. They didn't kill it with this on flavor and mixability, but I do appreciate the natural flavoring, Xtra BCAAs, and it being an isolate. If those are important to you, then you'll be plenty satisfied.
