Very skinny and I want to put on weight , looking for advice

Hi, I just turned 15 yesterday and I’ve been lifting for about a year but for half of that year I didn’t know what I was doing.

I recently took a break from lifting and have bought more weights( I much prefer lifting at home) I’ve been always doing one big workout but now I’ve decided to do different workouts for different muscle groups, I’m writing down a workout for bicep/triceps, shoulders, back etc.

Now there’s a problem I’m probably one of the skinniest people in my year, like literally a pencil, I have been told I’m stronger then I look I know I have some strength but I still hate being this skinny. The advice I’m getting is just eat eat eat I tried this admittedly not for to long but it seems absolutely impossible for me to put on weight, People start recommending some crazy meals that I simply cannot buy all the time, I do have quiet the sweet tooth. I’m quiet tall for my age (5”10) and I believe a weigh 8 stone.

Im not lifting to much (on my main bar it’s got 30 kilos on it’s my dumbbells have 12 kilos on them) but I’m increasing when I can and my triceps are really sore today so I’m resting.

Is my new method okay or not, should you do a workout targeting one or two muscles groups or more?

I honestly can’t tell if my arms have gotten bigger, perhaps a little bit but I still look like a twig.
So I’m just asking for some advice, I kinda new to all this and would really appreciate any reply’s thanks!
Quick edit: My profile says I’m 49, I’m not lol.

"Is my new method okay or not"

First of all, we don't know your method. You haven't provided us with your routine.
5'10 and 8 stone (which is 112 lbs) means you barely have any muscle. That also means your year and a half of lifting didn't do anything.
Here's what you need to do. Get out of your comfort zone and join a gym. Your home, quite frankly, cannot do a lot for you. When you join a gym, follow one of the proven beginner routines on the forums.

The only way to put on weight is to EAT. Something like "it seems absolutely impossible for me to put on weight" is not an excuse, you simply need to try harder. Your sweet tooth is fine, sweet things do have more calories compared to other foods.

    Good luck.
