    Should I eat more fat?

The attached picture is my meal plan these days. I am a skinny guy and trying to gain weight. My goal is to consume 3000 calories per day, including 218g carbonhydrate, 109g protein and 177g fat. Now the meal plan is short in fat by about 70g. Should I change my meal plan to eat more fat? Any suggestions about the meal plan?

By the way, my weight is gaining steadly, about 1 lbs per week.

I'm assuming you are looking to gain quality muscle weight. We need more info. What is your current height and weight? What is your workout protocol/schedule?

I am 5'11 and 135 lbs. I workout 5 times per week, inlcuding breast, back, leg, arm and core. Each time takes about 40 minutes, 4 movements (~10 reps) for one location. I am graduate student so I am sitting there the rest of my time.

Ok. First of all, if you are doing a full body program, you really need to dial that down to 3x per week to recover properly. Or are you just training one muscle group per day? Can you give me a list of exercises you are doing? What is your training intensity like? Training to failure, etc? What's your daily activity level like outside of lifting weights? Do you do a bunch of walking on campus, or other cardio?

Read the stickies please. There's no need to set specific carb, fat or protein targets. Just make sure you reach your minimums.

I train each muscle group per day. Basically, I train to failure after each movement. Take the the deadlift as an exmple, I use 110 lbs barbel for 12 reps, 12 reps, 10 reps and 10 reps. Other than workout, I spend most of my time on the computer.
