Meet Week - I'm training right through these first couple meets and saving the big performances for the final 2-3 weeks of the indoor season. This has worked great for me in the past, I'll let everyone beat me early season and at the end I'll be right in the mix!!! Going to be interesting how things go with the blocks - I haven't done blocks since the summer of 2010, I have some cheap blocks but think it's pointless to use them when the settings/feel will be totally different with better blocks.

Updated workouts this week since we had some weather issues on Monday.
I got exactly what I needed from Tuesday speed session – readiness score/hrv is down (hr is still elevated) and hopefully I can get a little supercompensation effect over these next couple days. The session was solid – felt a little flat from not running fast in over a week. I def felt those extra 30m. Been getting positive comments from various coaches at the track - hopefully it pays off this weekend with all the loading. Wednesday will be a quick recovery session on the rower.
