Such control, I see kids 1/4 his age not lifting that amount then dropping the weights.

Life goals! That's amazing, love the control. These CrossFit knuckles heads of today have started a trend of dropping the weights. The control decent is part of the deadlift.

Yes I still compete I won a o40s Mr Physique class at my last comp on the 25th of November 2018, Ernest is wanting to do a Deadlift comp at the end of March I might give it a go as well, allow I am planning to do a few bodybuilding comps this year after I turn 50 in May.Originally Posted by grubman

Gives me inspiration. I always wondered about lifting heavy at that age. If 419 is is 1RM then he's probably repping 360 or so x 5.
Is there any risk of the knees just suddenly giving out at that age? I get that he has been weight training a long time which helps. But damn, 80 years old with 420 lbs in your hands. Maybe I'm overly paranoid.
