    How much protein powder can I top up with in a day?

    Right, trying to get to grips with this macros and eating right stuff.

    Today I’m so close !

    I’m bang on with fat, 71g (don’t ask how, happy accèdent)

    I’m a 20g over with carbs (mmm Donut)

    But I’m 50g down with protein.

    Can i just knock back the relevant amount of protein powder mixed with water and try again better tomorrow ?

    Or is there a limit to how much protein powder you can use in a day?

    Protein powder is just powdered food, you don't "use" it, you drink and/or eat it. Treat it like any other food you consume.

    Cool so there’s no upper limit ?

    Not that I’d want to eat it in that quantity all the time but I’ve got about 50g to catch up on today.

    Serious egg whites and no donuts tomorrow ha ha !

    don't need to try to hit exact numbers. Just hit your protein and fat MINIMUMS and then eat whatever you want to fill remaining calories.

    That was the plan. But I didn’t raven hit protein minimums today.. well I have now cos I just knocked it back in powder. Fat was spot on and carbs I went over.

    I’m just getting started though, I can start planning ahead after this weekend.

    There is no target for carbs.

    You eat your minimum fats and proteins and fill the rest of your calories with whatever you want.

    There is pretty much no limit, but eating protein just in this form is not that good .

    like these people said, don't try to hit the exact macros or it's going to be hard. just make sure to hit your protein needs, then fill the rest with whatever you want.
