Difference between continuous and interval training ?

If someone wants to have more muscle mass and strength, he should do interval training right ? Like do a hard exercise 8/10 reps, then rest maybe 2 mins, then repeat for 3/4 sets, rather than doing easy ones for straight 10 minutes like the ones you see on youtube ?

Yes because the weight used is important. It's more efficient to train with (something like) 60-85% of your 1 rep maximum effort weight.

BTW interval training usually refers to a type of cardio - just to avoid confusion.
